3. Setup Guide

3.1 Charging the Devices

Before first use, fully charge both the remote control and the receiver collar. A full charge typically takes 2 hours.

  • Connect the charging cable to the charging port on both the remote and the receiver.
  • Plug the USB end of the cable into a compatible USB power source (e.g., computer, power adapter, laptop, power bank).
  • The battery indicator on the devices will show charging status. Once fully charged, the indicator will change (refer to the device screen for specific indications).

Both the remote and receiver can be charged using a standard USB cable.

3.2 Attaching the Collar and Conductive Posts

  1. Select the appropriate conductive posts (metal or soft rubber) based on your dog's coat length. For dogs with shorter coats, use shorter posts. For longer coats, use longer posts to ensure proper contact.
  2. Screw the chosen conductive posts onto the receiver. For comfort and to prevent skin irritation, conductive silicone caps are recommended, especially for static shock mode.
  3. Thread the nylon collar strap through the receiver.
  4. Adjust the collar to fit your dog's neck snugly but comfortably. You should be able to fit two fingers between the collar and your dog's neck. The conductive posts must make direct contact with your dog's skin.

  3. Press and hold the power button on the receiver collar until the indicator light flashes rapidly.
  4. Within 10 seconds, press the 'Static Shock' button on the remote. A successful pairing will be indicated by a solid light on the receiver or a confirmation on the remote's screen.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

  • Receiver Collar: Wipe the receiver with a damp cloth. Ensure the charging port cover is securely closed before cleaning to maintain its IPX7 waterproof rating. Do not use harsh chemicals.
  • Remote Control: Wipe with a dry, soft cloth. Keep away from water.
  • Collar Strap: The nylon strap can be hand-washed with mild soap and water. Allow to air dry completely.

5.2 Battery Care

  • Recharge the devices when the battery indicator is low.
  • Avoid fully depleting the battery frequently to prolong its lifespan.
  • If storing the device for an extended period, charge it to about 50% and store in a cool, dry place. Recharge every few months.

5.3 Skin Health

Regularly check your dog's neck for any signs of irritation, redness, or sores from the conductive posts. If irritation occurs, discontinue use and consult a veterinarian. It is recommended not to leave the collar on your dog for more than 12 hours per day.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Device not turning on: Ensure both the remote and receiver are fully charged.
  • Collar not responding to remote: Check if the devices are paired correctly. Re-pair if necessary. Ensure the remote is on the correct channel for the specific collar.
  • No static shock/vibration: Verify the intensity level is set above 0. Use the included test light to check the static shock function. Ensure conductive posts are making proper skin contact.
  • False bark triggers: Ensure the collar is fitted correctly and the AI bark control is enabled. The AI is designed to minimize false triggers, but extreme environmental noises might occasionally interfere.
  • Short battery life: Ensure devices are fully charged. Battery life can vary based on usage frequency and intensity settings.
