3. Wiring Instructions

The meter supports two wiring modes due to its screen flip function (top-in/bottom-out or bottom-in/top-out). Always connect the Neutral (N) and Live (L) lines correctly.

Standard Wiring (Top-in, Bottom-out)

  1. Connect the incoming Neutral (N-IN) to the N-IN terminal and incoming Live (L-IN) to the L-IN terminal at the top of the meter.
  2. Connect the outgoing Neutral (N-OUT) to the N-OUT terminal and outgoing Live (L-OUT) to the L-OUT terminal at the bottom of the meter.
  3. If your model includes leakage protection, connect the leakage protection induced current coil around the Live (L) line. The coil connects to terminals 24 and 25.

3. Protection Functions

The AT2P meter includes several built-in protection functions to safeguard your electrical system and connected appliances.

Seven Major Protection Functions
Figure 10: Seven Major Protection Functions. Lists Over-voltage, Over-current, Over-power, Under-voltage, Leakage protection, Timing/countdown protection, and Over-voltage/Under-voltage delay recovery.
  • Over-voltage protection (OVP): Automatically cuts off power if voltage exceeds a set threshold.
  • Over-current protection (OCP): Automatically cuts off power if current exceeds a set threshold.
  • Over-power protection (OPP): Automatically cuts off power if total power consumption exceeds a set threshold.
  • Under-voltage protection (UVP): Automatically cuts off power if voltage drops below a set threshold.
  • Leakage protection: (For models with leakage protection coil) Detects leakage current and cuts off power.
  • Timing/countdown protection: Configurable power ON/OFF schedules and timers.
  • Over-voltage and under-voltage delay recovery: Prevents rapid cycling of power after a protection event.
Protection Functions and Alarm

4. Electricity Price Settings

The meter allows for free setting of peak and valley electricity prices, as well as ladder electricity prices, to meet different needs.

Electricity Price Modes
Figure 12: Three Electricity Price Modes. Explains Single Price, Step Price, and Peak-Valley Price modes and their configuration via the app.
  • Single Price Mode: Only single-rate electricity price can be set to calculate the electricity charge.
  • Step Price Mode: Three kinds of tariff coefficients can be set. For example, ≤200kWh: 1.00, >200kWh: 1.50. When the power reaches the corresponding value, it calculates different electricity charges.
  • Peak-Valley Price Mode: The 24-hour system sets different electricity prices in sections. The time section and electricity price parameters can be set via the app.

5. Power Calculation Formula

The active power (P) is calculated using the formula: P = I * U * COS φ

Where:

  • P = Active Power (Watts)
  • I = Current (Amperes)
  • U = Voltage (Volts)
  • COS φ = Power Factor (PF Value)

Maintenance

  • Keep the device clean and free from dust.
  • Do not expose the device to excessive moisture or extreme temperatures.
  • Regularly check wiring connections for tightness and signs of wear.
  • Firmware updates will be released irregularly for lifetime free upgrade functionality via WiFi. Ensure your device is connected to the internet for updates.
