5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

To maintain optimal performance, periodically clean the router:

  • Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior of the device.
  • Avoid using liquid cleaners or abrasive materials, as they may damage the surface.
  • Ensure ventilation openings are free from dust and obstructions.

5.2 Firmware Updates

The router supports Over-The-Air (OTA) firmware updates. Regularly check for and install updates to ensure your device has the latest features, security patches, and performance improvements. This can typically be done through the web interface or the AI Life App.

6. Troubleshooting

6.1 No Internet Access with SIM Card

If your SIM card cannot access the internet:

  • Ensure you are using a universal ordinary SIM card.
  • Try changing to a SIM card from another operator to rule out SIM card compatibility issues.
  • Verify that the SIM card is correctly inserted into the slot (refer to Section 2.2).
  • Check the 5G/4G LED indicators on the front panel. If they are off or red, there might be a network issue or SIM card problem.
  • Contact your mobile network operator to confirm your SIM card is active and has data services.

6.2 Slow Network Speed

Network speed can be affected by several factors:

  • Signal Strength: Ensure the router is placed in an area with good 5G/4G signal reception. Avoid placing it near large metal objects or thick walls.
  • SIM Card Limitation: Some SIM cards or data plans may have speed limitations.
  • Environment: Interference from other electronic devices or physical obstructions can degrade signal quality.
  • Network Congestion: During peak hours, network speeds may naturally decrease due to high user traffic.

6.3 Resetting the Router

If you encounter persistent issues, you may need to reset the router to its factory default settings. This will erase all custom configurations.

  1. Locate the Reset button on the bottom of the router (refer to Figure 1).
  2. While the router is powered on, use a pin or a straightened paperclip to press and hold the Reset button for approximately 5-10 seconds until the LED indicators flash.
  3. Release the button. The router will restart with factory default settings.

7. User Tips

  • Optimal Placement: For the best 5G/4G signal and Wi-Fi coverage, place the router in an open area, away from obstructions like walls, large furniture, and other electronic devices that might cause interference. A central location in your home or office is often ideal.
  • Check Frequency Bands: If you are unsure about the frequency bands available in your area or supported by your operator, you can consult resources like https://www.frequencycheck.com/countries or contact your service provider for clarification. This ensures compatibility and optimal performance.
  • Secure Your Wi-Fi: Always change the default Wi-Fi SSID and password to a strong, unique combination to protect your network from unauthorized access.
  • Utilize Dual-Band: For devices that support 5GHz Wi-Fi, connect them to the 5GHz band for faster speeds, especially for activities like streaming and gaming. Use the 2.4GHz band for devices further away or those that don't require high bandwidth.

8. Warranty & Support
