2. Safety Information

WARNING: Class IV Laser Product. Avoid direct exposure to eyes. Always wear laser goggles during operation.

To ensure safe operation of your Twotrees TS1 Mini Laser Engraver, please observe the following safety guidelines:

• Always wear the provided laser goggles when the laser is active.
• Do not open the protective cover during engraving operations. Be careful of laser damage.
• Keep the device away from children and pets.
• Operate the engraver in a well-ventilated area to dissipate fumes and odors from engraving.
• Ensure the engraver is placed on a stable, non-flammable surface.

4. Setup Guide

1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
2. Placement: Place the engraver on a stable, level, and non-flammable surface in a well-ventilated area.

4. Computer/Mobile Connection:

5. Operating Instructions

1. Material Preparation: Place the material to be engraved within the engraving area (80x80mm). The machine cavity can support objects up to 30mm in height. Ensure the material is stable and flat.
2. Wear Safety Goggles: Always wear the provided laser goggles before starting any engraving task.
3. Software Interface:
   • Open your chosen software (LightBurn, LaserGRBL, or MKSLaser app).
   • Import your design. Supported formats include JPG, PNG, BMP, G-code, Gif, SVG, NC, GC.
   • Adjust engraving parameters:
     • Work Speed: Set the engraving speed (e.g., 800 mm/min).
     • Laser Power: Adjust the laser intensity (e.g., 230, range 0-1000).
     • Size: Define the dimensions of your engraving.
     • Style Setting: Utilize options like 'Gray', 'Strong', 'Sketch' to adjust brightness, contrast, and other image processing settings for optimal results.
4. Preview and Position: Use the software to preview the engraving path and adjust the material's position if necessary to ensure accurate placement.
5. Start Engraving: Once all parameters are set and the material is correctly positioned, initiate the engraving process from the software.
6. Monitoring: Continuously monitor the engraving process. Do not open the protective cover during operation.
7. Completion: After engraving is complete, safely remove the engraved item.

6. Maintenance

• Cleaning the Laser Lens: Regularly clean the laser lens with a soft, lint-free cloth. Ensure the device is powered off and unplugged before cleaning.
• Cleaning the Engraving Area: Keep the engraving area free from dust and debris. Use a soft brush or compressed air to remove any residue.
• Exhaust Port: Ensure the exhaust port is clear to maintain proper ventilation and prevent smoke buildup.

7. Troubleshooting

• No Laser Output:
  • Check if the power adapter is securely connected and the device is powered on.
  • Verify that the USB or Bluetooth connection is active and stable.
  • Ensure the laser power setting in your software is not set to zero.
  • Confirm that the protective cover is properly closed, as some models have safety interlocks.
• Poor Engraving Quality:
  • Focus: Adjust the laser focus by rotating the laser head until the laser dot on the material is as small and sharp as possible.
  • Settings: Experiment with different laser power and speed settings for your specific material. Refer to online resources or material guides for recommended parameters.
  • Material: Ensure the material is flat and securely placed to prevent movement during engraving.
• Connection Issues:
  • USB: Try a different USB port or cable. Reinstall the device drivers if necessary.
  • Bluetooth: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on both your device and the engraver. Try unpairing and re-pairing the devices.
• Software Not Responding:
  • Restart the engraving software and the TS1 engraver.

9. User Tips

• Engraving LEGO Bricks: When engraving LEGO bricks, be aware that light-colored bricks may darken at the laser-engraved areas. For black bricks, the engraving effect may vary depending on the plastic's composition and laser settings. It is highly recommended to perform a test engraving on a spare or inconspicuous part of the LEGO brick using low power settings first to achieve desired results and avoid damage.
• Material Testing: Always perform small test engravings on new materials or when using new settings to determine the optimal laser power and speed.
• Ventilation: Even with the built-in fan, ensure good room ventilation, especially when engraving materials that produce strong fumes.
