6. Maintenance

6.1 Cooling System

The power supply is equipped with an intelligent cooling fan that automatically starts working when the internal temperature exceeds 50℃ (122℉). Ensure that the ventilation openings on the sides and rear of the unit are not obstructed to allow for proper airflow.

6.2 Fuse Replacement

The unit contains a fuse for protection. If the unit fails to power on, check the fuse located in the fuse box on the rear panel. Replace it with a fuse of the same type and rating if necessary.

7. Troubleshooting

  • No Power: Check the power cord connection and the voltage selection switch on the rear panel. Verify the fuse is intact.
  • No Output: Ensure the OUT button is pressed (output enabled). Check for OCP (Over Current Protection) or OVP (Over Voltage Protection) indicators on the display.
  • OCP Alarm: If the OCP alarm activates, it indicates an overcurrent condition or a short circuit in the load. Disconnect the load, reduce the current setting, and re-enable the output.
  • Incorrect Readings: Ensure test leads are properly connected and not damaged. Compare readings with a calibrated multimeter if precision is critical.

9. User Tips

  • Understanding Constant Current (CC) Mode: In Constant Current (CC) mode, the power supply will maintain the set current limit, even if the load resistance changes. This means if you set a 60V/5A model to 5A, it will not provide more than 5A, regardless of the voltage setting, as long as the load demands less than the maximum voltage. The voltage will adjust to maintain the set current.
  • Initial Setup: Always double-check the 115V/230V switch on the back before plugging in the power supply to avoid damage.
  • Safety First: Use the output enable/disable button (OUT) to safely connect and disconnect your load without sudden power surges.
