4. Installation

4.1 Pre-Installation Checks

5. Operating and Adjustments

The MaXpeedingrods T6 Coilovers offer several adjustment options to fine-tune your vehicle's ride and handling characteristics.

5.1 Ride Height Adjustment

The ride height can be adjusted using the threaded body of the coilover and the provided C spanners. This adjustment allows for lowering the vehicle between 25-75mm, depending on the specific vehicle model.

  1. Loosen the lower locking collar using the C spanner.
  2. Rotate the main spring perch to raise or lower the vehicle. Turning clockwise will lower the vehicle, counter-clockwise will raise it.
  3. Once the desired height is achieved, tighten the lower locking collar securely against the spring perch using the C spanner.
  4. Ensure both sides of the vehicle are adjusted evenly to maintain balance.

5.2 Damping Adjustment (24 Clicks)

5.3 Spring Preload Adjustment

Adjustable pre-load spring tension helps manage the spring's initial compression. The advised spring preload is 7-10 mm.

  1. With the vehicle lifted and the wheel removed, loosen the upper locking collar above the spring.
  2. Rotate the spring perch to compress or decompress the spring.
  3. Measure the spring preload to ensure it falls within the recommended 7-10 mm range.
  4. Once set, securely tighten the upper locking collar.

  • Lubrication: Apply a thin layer of anti-seize lubricant to the threaded sections of the coilover body to prevent seizing and ensure smooth height adjustments.
  • Torque Checks: After initial installation and periodically thereafter, check the torque of all mounting bolts and nuts to ensure they are tightened to manufacturer specifications.
  • Alignment: Re-check wheel alignment periodically, especially after significant changes to ride height or if uneven tire wear is observed.
