4. Setup and Basic Operation
4.1. Turning ON/OFF the Radio
Long press the POWER key to turn the radio on or off. Press the AM/FM key to switch between AM and FM bands.
Note:
- For FM reception, the earphone cable acts as an antenna. Extend it as much as possible for better reception.
- For AM reception, the radio has an internal Ferrite bar antenna. Rotate the radio for best reception.
4.2. Adjusting Volume
While listening to the radio, press the VOLUME +/- keys to increase or decrease the volume. The LCD will display the "VOL" icon during adjustment.
4.3. Selecting Radio Stations Manually
Short press the AM/FM band key to select the desired band. Short press the ^ (up) or v (down) key to adjust the frequency by 100KHz for FM or 9/10KHz for AM. Long press the ^ or v key to automatically search for stations. The search will stop when a station is found.
4.4. Setting AM Frequency Step (9KHz or 10KHz)
When the radio is off, press and hold the M- key and MEMO key simultaneously for 3 seconds. The screen will display the current AM step value. Use the ^ or v key to switch between 9KHz and 10KHz. The setting is successful when the step number disappears from the screen.
Note:
- In the United States, Canada, and other North/South American countries, set to 10 KHz.
- For other countries, set to 9 KHz.
5. Advanced Operation
5.1. Storing Radio Stations Automatically
Long press the SCAN key to automatically search for and store radio stations. Stations will be stored in order from low to high frequencies. The LCD will display the "SCAN" icon during this process.
5.2. Storing Radio Stations Manually
Press the MEMO key to store the current radio station. The LCD will display the "MEMO" icon and a station number. Use the M+ or M- keys to select the desired memory slot.
5.3. Deleting Radio Station Presets
Long press the DEL key to delete the current radio station (it must be already stored in memory). The remaining stored stations will automatically re-order.
5.4. Mute Function
Short press the POWER key to mute the radio. The LCD will display the mute icon.
5.5. Keyboard Lock

To prevent accidental key presses, long press the LOCK key. The lock icon will appear on the LCD. Long press the LOCK key again to unlock the keys; the icon will disappear.
5.6. Sleep Timer
In the OFF state, press the POWER button repeatedly to cycle through sleep timer options: 90-80-70-60-50-40-30-20-10-off. Once set, the radio will automatically turn off after the selected time. This setting is effective for one use only and will reset when the radio is turned off and on again.
6. Charging and Battery

When the battery icon on the display flashes, it indicates low battery. Charge the radio as soon as possible. The battery icon will flash during charging and stop flashing when fully charged. Unplug the USB cable once charging is complete.

Charging Notes:
- Use a USB cable to charge the battery. You can connect it to an ordinary DC 5V adapter or a computer.
- The charging current should not exceed 1A. Exceeding 5V, 1A may damage the radio.
- Charge batteries at an ambient temperature between 10°C and 40°C. Do not charge below 0°C.
- Rechargeable batteries should be charged with the dedicated charger provided.
- Charging should be supervised by an adult, or by children at least 8 years old under adult supervision.
- The power delivered by the charger must be between 0.5 Watts and 5 Watts to achieve maximum charging speed.

8.3. Protect Your Hearing

- Optimal Reception: Always extend the earphone cable fully when listening to FM radio, as it doubles as the antenna. For AM, try rotating the radio to find the best signal.
