3. Optimal Placement

Place the router in a central location in your home or office, away from obstructions, large metal objects, and other electronic devices that may cause interference. This ensures the best possible Wi-Fi signal coverage.

Troubleshooting

  • No Internet Connection:
    • Check if the SIM card is correctly inserted and activated with a data plan.
    • Verify that the 5G/LTE indicator light is solid, indicating a stable mobile network connection.
    • Restart the router by unplugging and re-plugging the power adapter.
    • Check the router's web interface for any error messages or network status information.
  • Slow Wi-Fi Speed:
    • Ensure your devices are connected to the 5GHz band if possible, as it offers higher speeds.
    • Reduce the distance between your device and the router, and remove any obstructions.
    • Check for interference from other electronic devices.
    • Limit the number of connected devices or bandwidth-intensive activities.
  • Cannot Connect to Wi-Fi:
    • Double-check the Wi-Fi password.
    • Ensure your device's Wi-Fi is enabled.
    • Try restarting both the router and your device.
    • If using WPS, ensure both devices are WPS-compatible and the process is completed within the time limit.
  • Router Indicator Lights: Refer to the router's specific indicator light guide (often found in the full manual or online support) to understand the status of your connection and device.

User Tips

  • Optimal Signal: For the best 5G signal, place the router near a window or in an open area, away from walls and large metal objects.
  • App Management: Utilize the Huawei AI Life app for convenient remote management of your network settings, guest Wi-Fi, and connected devices.
  • Security: Regularly change your Wi-Fi password and router login credentials to strong, unique passwords to enhance network security.
  • Dual-Band Advantage: For devices that support it, connect to the 5GHz Wi-Fi band for faster speeds, especially for streaming and gaming. Use the 2.4GHz band for devices further away or those that only support it.
