6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the scanner's exterior. For the scanning window, use a lint-free cloth and a mild cleaning solution if necessary. Avoid abrasive materials or harsh chemicals.
- Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Charge the scanner regularly, especially if it will be stored for an extended period.
- Storage: Store the scanner in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
7. Troubleshooting & FAQ
7.1 Common Issues and Solutions
- Scanner not reading barcodes:
- Ensure the barcode is clean, clear, and not excessively damaged or blurred.
- For digital barcodes on screens, ensure the screen brightness is sufficient. Note that some 1D laser scanners may not read digital barcodes effectively; CCD or 2D imagers are recommended for this.
- Verify that the correct barcode type is enabled in the scanner's settings. If unsure, consult the "Common Function Barcodes" section of the full manual or contact customer service.
- Data not sending to computer/device:
- Check if the scanner is in "inventory mode." In this mode, scans are stored internally. To send stored data, scan the "Manual data upload" barcode (refer to your full manual for this specific barcode).
- Ensure the scanner is properly connected via 2.4GHz wireless, Bluetooth, or USB wired mode to your device.
- Messy code/incorrect characters when using foreign languages:
- The default language setting is English. Refer to the "Language Setting" chapter in your full manual to change the setting for other languages.
- No "Enter" suffix after scanning:
- Refer to the "Common Function Barcodes" section in your full manual to apply or remove the "Enter" suffix.
