  • Cleaning: If necessary, gently clean the adapter and antennas with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using liquid cleaners.

7. Troubleshooting

Q: Does the FV-AC1200 work on AMD chipset motherboards?
A: No, this adapter is not compatible with AMD chipset motherboards.
Q: Does it support Linux operating systems?
A: Currently, FENVI only provides drivers for Microsoft Windows 7/8/10/11. Linux support is not available.
Q: My Bluetooth is not working.
A: Ensure the 9-pin USB cable is correctly connected from the adapter card to the 9-pin USB 2.0 header on your motherboard. This cable is essential for Bluetooth functionality. Also, verify that the Bluetooth driver has been installed correctly.
Q: My Wi-Fi is not working.
A:
  • Check Device Manager: Look for a network controller with a yellow exclamation mark. If present, install or manually update the Wi-Fi driver.
  • M.2 Hard Disk Conflict: If your motherboard has an M.2 hard disk in a parallel channel, it might cause a hardware function conflict. Try unplugging the M.2 hardware temporarily to diagnose.
  • Antenna Connection: Ensure both antennas are securely attached to the adapter card.
  • Built-in Wi-Fi: If your desktop PC has a built-in Wi-Fi function, ensure it is disabled in Device Manager or BIOS to prevent conflicts with the new adapter.
Q: The card doesn't work in my PCI-E X1 slot.
A: While compatible with X1, X4, X8, and X16 slots, sometimes an X1 slot might have issues. Try installing the card in a PCI-E X4 or X16 slot if available.

8. User Tips

  • Dual Driver Installation: Remember that both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth functions require separate driver installations. Don't forget to install both!
  • Check USB Header: The 9-pin USB cable connection for Bluetooth is often overlooked but is critical for Bluetooth to work. Double-check this connection during installation.
  • Integrated Wi-Fi: If upgrading an existing desktop with integrated Wi-Fi, disable the old Wi-Fi adapter in Device Manager to avoid potential conflicts and ensure the FV-AC1200 functions optimally.
