Step 1: Connect the Adapter
Plug the driver-free adapter into the computer's USB port.
The adapter is a small device with a [WiFi symbol] indicator and labeled "Driver Free Adapter".
It can be connected to either a laptop or a desktop PC.
Note: When using a PC, it is recommended to insert the adapter into a USB port on the back of the computer case for better performance. Front-facing USB ports on desktop computers may be insufficient or unavailable.
Step 2: Open "This PC"
Open "This PC" on your computer's desktop.
This is represented by an icon of a desktop computer monitor.
Step 3: Run the Installation Program
Locate the CD Disk or U Disk icon representing the adapter's drive.
Right-click the drive icon.
From the context menu, select "[Open AutoPlay...]" or "[Open]".
Perform a [Double-click] on the installation program.
Available installation options include:
- auto_load
- aic8800FC_windows_wifi_driver
- AUTOINSTALL
- setup
- WifiAutolnstallsetup
Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation.
Step 4: Connect to WiFi
Click the WLAN icon on the taskbar.
Select your WiFi network from the list and connect.
The WLAN icon on the taskbar will display network status, for example: "meshmw6 Connected, secured".
Options available include: Properties, Disconnect.
Accessing "Network & Internet settings" allows further configuration, such as making a connection metered.
The system language is indicated as [English language] (ENG).
