7. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your XOSS XL1200 Headlight, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Wipe the aluminum alloy shell and lens with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish or lens.
- Water Resistance: The IPX6 rating means the light is protected against powerful water jets, making it suitable for use in rain. However, it is not designed for submersion in water. Do not immerse the headlight.
- Storage: Store the headlight in a cool, dry place when not in use. If storing for an extended period, charge the battery to approximately 50-70% to preserve battery health.
- Battery Care: Avoid completely draining the battery frequently. Recharge promptly when the low power warning (red indicator) appears.

- Battery life is shorter than expected:
- Battery life can be affected by temperature and environment. Colder temperatures may reduce performance.

- Over time, all rechargeable batteries experience some degradation.
9. User Tips
- Initial Charge: For best performance, fully charge your headlight before its first use.
- Secure Mounting: Always ensure the headlight is securely mounted to your handlebar or GoPro adapter to prevent it from falling during rides.
- Visibility: While the XL1200 provides excellent forward illumination, consider using a rear light for complete 360-degree visibility, especially during night rides.
- Power Management: Utilize the different light modes to conserve battery life. For example, use 'Power Saving' mode during daylight or in well-lit areas, and 'High' mode for dark trails.
