Setup
1. Installing the Headset on Your Helmet
The DK06 PRO is designed to be compatible with most motorcycle helmets, including half-face, full-face, and universal types. Follow these steps for installation:
- Attach the mounting bracket to the side of your helmet. Ensure it is securely fastened.
- Slide the DK06 PRO main unit onto the mounting bracket until it clicks into place.
- Connect the speaker wires and microphone cable to the main unit.
- Position the speakers inside the helmet's ear pockets.
- Choose the appropriate microphone: use the boom mic for open-face helmets and the button mic for full-face helmets. Position the microphone close to your mouth for optimal voice clarity.
2. Initial Charging
Before first use, fully charge the DK06 PRO headset. Connect the USB charging cable to the charging port on the unit and to a standard USB power source. The indicator light will show charging status and turn off when fully charged.
3. Pairing with Your Mobile Phone
- Ensure the DK06 PRO is powered off.
- Press and hold the power button until the indicator light flashes rapidly, indicating pairing mode.
- On your mobile phone, enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
- Select "DK06 PRO" from the list of devices.
- Once connected, the indicator light will change, and you will hear a confirmation tone.
The headset will automatically re-connect to your mobile phone when powered on again, or you can short press the "Phone" button to reconnect if disconnected during standby.
4. Intercom Pairing (Multi-Rider)
The DK06 PRO supports pairing with up to 6 riders. One unit acts as the 'Rider A' (main unit) and can connect to up to 5 other riders (Rider B-F).
- Ensure all units are powered off.
- Put two units (e.g., Rider A and Rider B) into pairing mode simultaneously (refer to specific instructions for entering intercom pairing mode, usually a long press of the intercom button).
- Once paired, repeat the process for Rider A with Rider C, then Rider A with Rider D, and so on, until all desired riders are connected to Rider A.
Operating Instructions
Power On/Off
- Power On: Press and hold the power button (usually button 'A' or the central button) for a few seconds until you hear a tone and see the indicator light.
- Power Off: Press and hold the power button for a few seconds until you hear a tone and the indicator light turns off.
Bluetooth Music and Calls
- Music Playback: Once paired with your phone, music will stream wirelessly. Use the headset buttons (e.g., 'B' and 'C' for volume, 'D' and 'E' for track skip) to control playback.
- Answering Calls: Short press the "Phone" button (usually button 'A') when an incoming call rings.
- Rejecting Calls: Long press the "Phone" button when an incoming call rings.
- Ending Calls: Short press the "Phone" button during a call.
Intercom Communication
The DK06 PRO supports two intercom modes: Normal and Private.
- Initiating Intercom: If Rider A is connected to multiple riders, Rider A can select one of the five paired riders to talk to. If another rider (B-F) wants to talk to Rider A, they need to press their relevant intercom button. Rider A will hear a "dudu" sound, and then Rider A needs to double-press the "Phone" button to establish the intercom connection.
- Switching Intercom Partners: Refer to your specific unit's button layout for switching between paired intercom partners.
FM Radio Function
The DK06 PRO features a built-in FM radio with a frequency band of 76-108MHz.
- Activating FM Radio: Press the dedicated FM button (or a combination of buttons as per your unit's design) to switch to FM radio mode.
- Searching Channels: Use the volume/track buttons to scan for clear FM channels.
- Storing Stations: When a favorite station is found, follow the instructions in your quick start guide to preset and store up to 6 FM radio stations.
Voice Assistant Activation
With access to Siri, S-Voice, and OK Google, you can make or receive hands-free calls, listen to Hi-Fi stereo music, FM radio, or listen to voice GPS navigation.
- Activating Voice Assistant: Long press the "Phone" button (or a designated voice control button) to activate your phone's voice assistant.
Light Modes
The DK06 PRO features three distinct light modes for visibility and personalization.
- Always-on Light Mode: Provides a constant illumination.
- Multicolor Light Mode: Cycles through various colors.
- Flowing Light Mode: Displays a dynamic, flowing light effect.
Refer to your quick start guide for specific button presses to cycle through or select these light modes.
3rd-Party Headset Compatibility
The DK06 PRO is designed to support compatibility with 3rd-party headsets, allowing for broader communication options without disturbances from different models.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the headset unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Water Resistance: The DK06 PRO is IP65 waterproof, meaning it is protected against dust and low-pressure water jets. While it can withstand rain, avoid submerging it in water.
- Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Charge the unit regularly, especially if it will be stored for an extended period.
- Storage: Store the headset in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
Troubleshooting
- No Power: Ensure the battery is charged. Connect to a charger and check if the charging indicator lights up.
- Cannot Pair with Phone: Make sure the headset is in pairing mode (rapidly flashing indicator light). Turn off and on your phone's Bluetooth, then try searching again.
- Intercom Disconnection: Ensure all units are within the effective intercom range (up to 1500M). Re-initiate the intercom connection if it drops.
- Poor Audio Quality/Noise: Check microphone positioning. The DK06 PRO features a CSR chip for noise reduction, but extreme wind or engine noise can still affect clarity. Ensure speakers are correctly positioned in your helmet.
- FM Radio Not Working: Ensure you are in an area with good FM signal reception. Try scanning for channels again.
