4. Installation Guide

4.1 Physical Installation

1. Prepare your computer: Turn off your computer and unplug the power cord. Open the computer case.
2. Select a PCI Express slot: Locate an available PCI Express x1, x4, x8, or x16 slot on your motherboard.
3. Install the adapter card: Carefully insert the FV-AC1200 adapter into the chosen PCI Express slot until it is firmly seated. Secure the card with a screw if your case requires it. If your computer case is a low-profile design, you may need to replace the pre-installed full-height bracket with the provided low-profile bracket.
4. Connect the Bluetooth USB cable: Connect the 9-pin USB cable (black end) to an available 9-pin USB 2.0 header on your motherboard. Connect the white end of the cable to the corresponding socket on the FV-AC1200 adapter card. This connection is essential for Bluetooth functionality.
5. Attach the antennas: Screw the two high-gain dual-band antennas onto the connectors on the back of the adapter card. Ensure they are securely tightened.

3. Enter the network password if prompted and click 'Connect'.

6.1 Bluetooth Not Working

• Install Bluetooth Driver: Verify that the Bluetooth driver has been installed correctly. If not, download and install it from the FENVI website.

6.2 Wi-Fi Not Working

• Check Device Manager: Open Device Manager (right-click Start button > Device Manager). Look for 'Network adapters'. If you see a network controller with a yellow exclamation mark, the driver is not installed or is faulty.
• Install/Update Wi-Fi Driver: If a yellow exclamation mark is present, install the Wi-Fi driver. If the driver is already installed but still shows a warning, right-click the device, select 'Update driver', and manually point to the driver file path.
• Antenna Connection: Ensure both antennas are securely attached to the adapter card.
• M.2 Hardware Conflict: Some motherboards may have M.2 slots that share PCI-E lanes, potentially causing conflicts. If you have an M.2 hard disk in a parallel channel, try unplugging it to see if the Wi-Fi issue resolves.
• Built-in Wi-Fi: If your desktop computer has a built-in Wi-Fi function, please disable it in Device Manager when using the FV-AC1200 to avoid conflicts.
