BY-W4 RX (Receiver)
- USB-C Charging Port (DC 5V): For charging the receiver.
- Status Indicator: Displays connection and battery status.
- 3.5mm TRRS Output: Connects to recording devices (cameras, smartphones, computers).
- Belt Clip: For attaching the receiver to clothing or camera hot shoe.
- Power Button: Turns the unit on/off.
BY-W4 TX (Transmitter)
- USB-C Charging Port: For charging the transmitter.
- Status Indicator: Displays connection and battery status.
- Built-in Microphone: Omnidirectional microphone for audio capture.
- Belt Clip: For attaching the transmitter to clothing.
- Power/Mute Button: Turns the unit on/off and mutes/unmutes the microphone.
- Gain Control (+/- Button): Adjusts the microphone input level.
4. Setup and Connection
4.1 Charging the Units
Before first use, fully charge all TX and RX units using the provided USB-C charging cables. Connect the USB-C end of the cable to the charging port on each unit and the USB-A end to a standard USB power adapter (not included).
4.2 Powering On/Off
Press and hold the Power Button on both the TX and RX units for a few seconds to turn them on or off. The Status Indicator will light up.
4.3 Automatic Pairing
The BY-W4 units are designed for automatic pairing. Once powered on, the TX and RX units will automatically attempt to pair with each other. The Status Indicator will show a solid blue or green light when successfully paired.
4.4 Connecting to Recording Devices
The BY-W4 offers wide compatibility with various devices:
- For Cameras: Use the supplied 3.5mm TRRS to TRS Output Cable. Connect the TRRS end to the RX unit's 3.5mm output and the TRS end to your camera's microphone input.
- For Smartphones/Tablets (Android): Use the supplied 3.5mm TRRS to TRRS Output Cable. Connect one TRRS end to the RX unit's 3.5mm output and the other TRRS end to your smartphone's headphone/microphone jack.
- For iPhones/iPads: An additional Lightning to 3.5mm adapter (sold separately) is required. Connect the 3.5mm TRRS to TRRS Output Cable to the RX unit and then to the Lightning adapter, which then connects to your iPhone/iPad.
- For Computers/Laptops: Use the appropriate 3.5mm cable (TRRS to TRRS or TRRS to TRS depending on your computer's input) to connect the RX unit.

5. Operation
5.1 Mute Function
On the TX unit, briefly press the Power/Mute Button to mute or unmute the microphone. The Status Indicator will change to reflect the mute status.
5.2 Gain Control
Use the Gain Control (+/-) buttons on the TX unit to adjust the input sensitivity of the microphone. Increase gain for softer sounds and decrease for louder environments to prevent distortion.
5.3 Switchable Patterns (1-to-2 TX / 1-to-4 TX)
The BY-W4 system supports two operational patterns:
- One RX-to-four TX pattern (Default): All four transmitters can be used simultaneously with one receiver. The status indicator will be blue.
- One RX-to-two TX pattern: Two transmitters can be used with one receiver. The status indicator will be green.
Refer to the product documentation or manufacturer's website for instructions on how to switch between these patterns if needed.

5.4 Real-time Audio Monitoring
To monitor your audio in real-time, connect headphones to the 3.5mm TRRS Male to Dual TRRS Female Cable, and then connect this cable to the RX unit's 3.5mm output. This allows you to listen to the audio being recorded without delay.
