5. Setup

5.1. Charging the Battery

The radio has a built-in 1100 mAh rechargeable battery. Before first use, or when the battery is low, charge the device:

  1. Connect the supplied USB charging cable to the charging port on the back of the radio.
  2. Connect the other end of the USB cable to a DC5V/500mA-2A USB adapter (not included), a computer USB port, a car charger, or a power bank.
  3. The charging indicator light (if present) will show the charging status. Once fully charged, disconnect the cable.

A full charge provides long-lasting enjoyment and saves money on disposable batteries.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Power On/Off

To turn the radio on or off, use the dedicated power switch located on the device.

6.2. FM Radio Mode

  1. Turn on the radio.
  2. Set the band selector switch to "FM".
  3. Rotate the tuning knob to scan for available FM stations. The frequency range is 87.5-108 MHz.
  4. Adjust the volume knob to your desired listening level.

6.3. Bluetooth Speaker Mode

The radio can connect wirelessly to your Bluetooth-enabled devices.

  1. Turn on the radio.
  2. Set the band selector switch to "BT" (Bluetooth). The radio will enter pairing mode, indicated by a flashing light or audio prompt.
  3. On your smartphone, tablet, or computer, enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
  4. Select "FY-R919" (or similar name) from the list of devices to pair.
  5. Once paired, you can play audio from your device through the radio. The effective range is up to 10 meters.

6.4. AUX Input Mode

Connect external audio devices like MP3 players or computers using the AUX input.

  1. Turn on the radio.
  2. Set the band selector switch to "AUX".
  3. Connect one end of a 3.5mm audio cable (not included) to the AUX input port on the radio.
  4. Connect the other end of the audio cable to the headphone jack or audio output of your external device.
  5. Play audio from your external device. The sound will be routed through the radio's speaker.

6.5. TF/SD Card Playback

Play MP3 audio files directly from a TF/SD card.

  1. Ensure the radio is powered on.
  2. Insert a TF/SD card (formatted with MP3 files, up to 32GB) into the TF card slot.
  3. The radio should automatically switch to TF card playback mode. If not, cycle through the band selector switch until it plays from the card.
  4. Use the volume knob to adjust the sound.
