App Control

The mobile app provides a comprehensive interface for setting up and managing each mode:

  • Humidification Mode: Set a target humidity percentage. The device will activate a connected humidifier when humidity drops below the target.
  • Dehumidification Mode: Set a target humidity percentage. The device will activate a connected dehumidifier when humidity rises above the target.
  • Cooling Mode: Set a target temperature. The device will activate a connected cooling appliance when the temperature rises above the target. This mode includes a cooling delay to protect refrigeration equipment.
  • Heating Mode: Set a target temperature. The device will activate a connected heating appliance when the temperature drops below the target.

Power Calculation

The ATORCH S1THW calculates active power using the formula: P = U * I * cos φ, where:

  • P = Active Power (Watts)
  • U = Voltage (Volts)
  • I = Current (Amperes)
  • cos φ = Power Factor (PF Value)

This method accounts for the true power consumed by inductive or capacitive loads, providing a more accurate energy measurement than simply multiplying voltage by current (P=U*I).

Maintenance

  • Keep the device and probes clean. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe surfaces.
  • Avoid exposing the main unit to water or excessive moisture.
  • Ensure probes are handled carefully to prevent damage to the sensor tips or cables.
  • Regularly check probe connections for security.
  • For optimal performance, ensure the device has adequate ventilation and is not covered.

Troubleshooting

  • Device not powering on: Ensure the device is securely plugged into a live power outlet.
  • WiFi connection issues:
    • Verify your WiFi network is 2.4GHz (5GHz networks are not supported).
    • Ensure you have entered the correct WiFi password.
    • Move the device closer to your WiFi router to improve signal strength.
    • Try restarting your router and the S1THW controller.
  • Inaccurate temperature/humidity readings:
    • Ensure probes are correctly connected and not damaged.
    • Avoid placing non-waterproof probes in water or extreme conditions (e.g., fire).
    • Perform temperature and humidity calibration via the app if readings are consistently off.
  • Connected appliance not responding:
    • Check if the S1THW is in the correct operating mode (Heating, Cooling, etc.) and the target values are set appropriately.
    • Verify the appliance itself is functioning correctly when plugged directly into a standard outlet.
    • Ensure the appliance's power consumption does not exceed the S1THW's maximum power rating (3680W).
  • No scheduled timing function in app: Please note that this model does not support a scheduled timing function directly within the mobile app.

User Tips

  • Automated Climate Control: To have the device automatically turn on/off an appliance based on temperature or humidity, set your desired target temperature/humidity in the app and select the appropriate mode (Heating, Cooling, Humidification, or Dehumidification). The controller will then manage the connected appliance to maintain your set conditions.
  • Probe Placement: For accurate readings, place the air temperature/humidity probe in an open area away from direct heat sources, vents, or drafts. Waterproof probes are ideal for liquids, while magnetic metal probes are suitable for attaching to metal surfaces like pipes or radiators.
  • Energy Monitoring: Utilize the app's energy monitoring features to track power consumption of connected devices. This can help identify energy usage patterns and optimize settings for efficiency.

Warranty and Support

For any questions, technical assistance, or warranty claims, please contact the seller or manufacturer directly. Keep your purchase receipt as proof of purchase.

Important Safety Notes

  • Do NOT put probes or metal wires into fire.
  • Do NOT put probes into water unless they are specifically designated as waterproof. Incorrect use may lead to inaccurate measurements or damage.
  • The device only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11b/g/n). Ensure your router is configured accordingly.
  • Always ensure the total power of connected appliances does not exceed the maximum rated power of the S1THW controller (3680W at 230VAC).
  • This device is intended for household use. Do not use it for industrial or commercial applications without proper assessment.
