Setup

1. Compatibility Check

Before proceeding with installation, ensure this control box is compatible with your child's electric ride-on car. Open your existing electric ride-on car and locate the control box. If the appearance and model number of this replacement control box match your original unit, it should be compatible.

2. Receiver Installation

  1. Disconnect the vehicle's battery before beginning any installation.
  2. Carefully remove the old receiver unit from the electric car.
  3. Connect the new receiver unit to the vehicle's wiring harness. Ensure that the drive motors, steering motor (if applicable to your receiver model), and power supply are connected to the corresponding ports on the receiver. Refer to the labels on the receiver unit for correct connections (e.g., "Steering motor", "Drive motor", "Power Supply").
  4. Secure the new receiver unit in its designated location within the vehicle.

3. Remote Control Battery Installation

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
  2. Using a screwdriver, loosen the screw to open the battery cover.
  3. Insert two AAA (1.5V) batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  4. Replace the battery cover and tighten the screw.

4. Pairing the Remote Control with the Receiver

To establish a connection between the remote control and the receiver:

  1. Ensure the electric car is turned OFF.
  2. Press and hold the 'Code' button on the remote control (refer to Figure 5 for location).
  3. While holding the 'Code' button, turn ON the electric car.
  4. Release the 'Code' button once the pairing is successful (e.g., indicated by a light on the receiver or remote, or the car responding to remote input).
  5. Test all functions to ensure proper pairing.

Operating Instructions

The remote control allows you to operate the electric car wirelessly using 2.4G Bluetooth technology. Refer to Figure 5 for button identification.

  • Forward/Back Arrows: Control the forward and backward movement of the car.
  • Left/Right Arrows: Control the steering of the car.
  • Speed Button (S): Adjust the speed settings (e.g., low, medium, high). The 'Speed indicator' lights may show the current speed level.
  • Stop Button (P): Immediately stop the car.
  • Code Button: Used for pairing the remote control with the receiver.

Maintenance

  • Keep the remote control and receiver clean and dry. Avoid exposure to water or excessive moisture.
  • Regularly check the remote control batteries and replace them when power is low to ensure optimal performance.
  • Store the components in a cool, dry place when not in use.
  • Avoid dropping or subjecting the units to strong impacts.
