1. Introduction

The Weeylite RB08P professional photography fill light is equipped with multiple high CRI (Color Rendering Index) LEDs, featuring both pure white and warm white lights. This device is designed for low energy consumption, stable color temperature, and a long service life. Its color temperature and brightness can be freely adjusted to suit various scenes, making it ideal for portraits, macro shooting, interview lighting, broadcasting video, and mobile phone recording.

3.1. Controls and Ports

  • Power Switch: Turns the device on or off.
  • Mode Button (M): Cycles through different lighting modes (e.g., Bi-color, RGB, Special Effects).
  • SET Button: Confirms selections or cycles through parameters within a mode.
  • Increase Button (+): Increases brightness, color temperature, or effect parameters.

3.2. Mounting

5. Setup

5.1. Charging the Battery

Before first use, fully charge the built-in 3000mAh lithium battery. A full charge typically takes about 3 hours.

  1. Locate the Micro USB charging port on the side of the device.
  2. Connect the provided Micro USB cable to the port and plug the other end into a 5V/2A USB power source (e.g., wall adapter, computer USB port).
  3. The display will indicate charging status. Once fully charged, the battery icon will show full.

5.2. Mounting the Light

The RB08P can be mounted in various ways:

  1. On a Camera: Attach the hot shoe adapter to the 1/4-inch screw hole at the bottom of the light. Then, slide the adapter into your camera's hot shoe mount.
  2. On a Tripod/Stand: Directly screw the 1/4-inch screw hole of the light onto a compatible tripod or light stand.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Power On/Off

Press and hold the Power Switch button (topmost button on the side) for a few seconds to turn the light on or off.

6.2. Mode Selection

Press the Mode Button (M) to cycle through the available lighting modes:

  • Bi-color Mode: Adjusts between warm (2500K) and cool (8500K) white light.
  • RGB Mode: Allows selection from a full spectrum of colors.
  • Special Effects Mode: Provides various pre-programmed lighting effects.

6.3. Adjusting Parameters

Once a mode is selected, use the Increase (+) and Decrease (-) buttons to adjust parameters. The SET button can be used to switch between different adjustable parameters within a mode (e.g., in Bi-color mode, switch between brightness and color temperature adjustment).

6.3.1. Bi-color Mode Adjustments

  • Brightness: Use the (+) and (-) buttons to adjust the light intensity from 10% to 100%.
  • Color Temperature: Press SET to switch to color temperature adjustment. Use (+) and (-) buttons to change the color temperature from 2500K (warm) to 8500K (cool).

6.3.2. RGB Mode Adjustments

In RGB mode, you can select specific colors and adjust their saturation and brightness. Use the SET button to cycle through Hue, Saturation, and Brightness parameters, then use (+) and (-) to adjust each.

6.3.3. Special Effects Mode

The RB08P offers 8 special effects to enhance your shooting scenes. Press the Mode button until you reach the special effects mode, then use the (+) and (-) buttons to cycle through the effects. The SET button may be used to adjust parameters specific to each effect.

  • RGB Cycle
  • Stream Light
  • Thunder Light
  • Warning Light
  • Scene Mode (various pre-set scenes)
  • Brightness Adjustment
  • Bi-color Adjustment

7. Maintenance

7.1. Cleaning

  • Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the surface of the LED light.
  • Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as they may damage the finish or internal components.
  • Keep the LED panel free from dust and fingerprints for optimal light output.

7.2. Storage

  • Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • If storing for an extended period, ensure the battery is partially charged (around 50%) to prolong its lifespan. Recharge every few months if not in use.

7.3. Battery Care

  • Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.
  • Do not expose the battery to high temperatures or puncture it.
  • If the battery performance significantly degrades, contact customer support for assistance.
