Dewayne asks I may be had my masterbuilt for a year and I keep it covered inside of my shed for some reason the inside is Rusty how can I find out two exchange it
    Manuals+ clarified question
    Question

How can I exchange my Masterbuilt product under warranty due to internal rust after one year of ownership?

    Answer

Based on the Masterbuilt Limited Warranty information, there are several important factors regarding your request for an exchange due to rust:

    • Rust Coverage: The official Masterbuilt warranty explicitly states that it does not cover rust of the unit.
    • Warranty Duration: The standard warranty covers defects in material and workmanship for 90 days from the date of original retail purchase. Since you have owned your unit for about a year, it is likely outside of this standard coverage window.
    • Paint Finish: The warranty also does not cover the paint finish, as it may burn off during normal use.

If you believe your situation is unique or caused by a manufacturing defect rather than environmental factors, you can attempt to contact Masterbuilt support or register your product at www.masterbuilt.com. To file any claim, you will need:

    • Your Proof of Purchase (receipt).
    • The Model Number and Serial Number (located on the silver label on the back of the unit).

For future maintenance, Masterbuilt generally recommends "seasoning" the inside of the unit with high-heat cooking oil to help protect the metal from moisture and rust.

  2. have anewly purchased electric smoker need to now the cooking time per lb.

r asks have anewly purchased electric smoker need to now the cooking time per lb.
    Manuals+ clarified question
    Question

What are the cooking times per pound for a Masterbuilt electric smoker?

    Answer

Cooking times in a Masterbuilt electric smoker vary significantly depending on the type of meat, the thickness of the cut, and the set temperature (typically 225°F). While specific times are not listed in the warranty document, general Masterbuilt guidelines for common meats at 225°F are as follows:

    • Beef Brisket: Approximately 1.5 hours per pound.
    • Pork Butt/Shoulder: Approximately 1.5 to 2 hours per pound.
    • Whole Chicken: Approximately 45 to 60 minutes per pound.
    • Ribs: Usually 5 to 6 hours total (not typically calculated per pound).

Important Note: You should always cook to internal temperature rather than relying solely on time. Use a meat probe to ensure the meat reaches a safe and desired internal temperature (e.g., 165°F for poultry, 195°F-205°F for pulled pork or brisket). Many Masterbuilt models, such as the 710 WiFi Digital Electric Smoker, include built-in meat probes to assist with this.

    Question

What are the recommended cooking times per pound for a Masterbuilt electric smoker?

    Answer

Cooking times in a Masterbuilt electric smoker vary significantly depending on the type of meat, the cut, and the smoking temperature (typically 225°F). While the warranty documentation does not list specific cooking charts, general guidelines for common meats at 225°F are as follows:

    • Beef Brisket: 1.5 to 2 hours per pound.
    • Pork Butt/Shoulder: 1.5 to 2 hours per pound.
    • Whole Chicken: Approximately 30 to 45 minutes per pound.
    • Ribs (Baby Back): Usually 5 to 6 hours total (not typically measured per pound).

Important Note: You should always cook to internal temperature rather than relying solely on time. Use a meat probe to ensure the meat reaches a safe and desired internal temperature (e.g., 165°F for poultry, 195°F-205°F for pulled pork or brisket). For specific recipes and precise timing for your model, you can visit the Recipes section on the Masterbuilt website or check the specific instruction manual for your smoker model.

  4. The blower fan has shut down the last 3 times. Have had to finish the meat in our over, was bought in July of this year.

Rick Greulich asks The blower fan has shut down the last 3 times. Have had to finish the meat in our over, was bought in July of this year.
    Manuals+ clarified question
    Question

Why is my Masterbuilt blower fan shutting down during use, and is it covered under warranty?

    Answer

Based on your report of the blower fan shutting down, this is a known troubleshooting area for Masterbuilt Digital Charcoal units (like the Gravity Series). Please check the following common causes:

    • Door and Lid Switches: The fan is designed to shut off automatically when the hopper lid or ash door is open. Ensure these are fully closed and that the safety switches are making proper contact.
    • Obstructions: Check for any debris or ash buildup that might be physically blocking the fan blades.
    • Wiring Connections: Ensure the wires connecting the fan to the digital controller are secure and have not become loose or damaged.

Regarding your warranty, Masterbuilt products typically come with a 90-day limited warranty from the date of original retail purchase. Since you purchased the unit in July, you may be near or just past this window depending on the exact date. Masterbuilt warrants against defects in material and workmanship and may repair or replace defective components at their discretion.

To proceed with a claim, you will need your model number and serial number (found on the silver label on the back of the unit) and your original receipt as proof of purchase. You can contact Masterbuilt support or register your claim at www.masterbuilt.com.

  5. My toguard rear view camera has stopped working. It will not come on even after long periods of charging. I purchased this unit in august of 2022. Is it possible to have it repaired, replaced?

    Question

How can I repair or replace my Toguard rear view camera that won't turn on after charging?

    Answer

It appears you are asking about a Toguard rear view camera on a page dedicated to Masterbuilt warranty information. These are two different companies, and Masterbuilt's warranty policies do not apply to Toguard products.

Regarding your Toguard camera purchased in August 2022:

    • Warranty Status: Most Toguard dash cams and rear view cameras typically come with a 12-month warranty. Since your purchase was in August 2022, it is likely outside the standard manufacturer warranty period unless you purchased an extended protection plan.
    • Troubleshooting: If the unit will not turn on even after charging, try using a different power cable or car adapter to rule out a faulty charger. You can also try pressing the 'Reset' button (usually a small pinhole on the device) while it is connected to power.
    • Repair/Replacement: Because this is a Masterbuilt support page, we do not have access to Toguard's repair services. We recommend contacting Toguard directly through their official website or the retailer where you purchased the item to see if they offer out-of-warranty repairs or replacements.
  6. disconnect wireless network and all its functions

S'pheGift Zzellel asks disconnect wireless network and all its functions
    Manuals+ clarified question
    Question

How do I disconnect the wireless network and WiFi functions on my Masterbuilt grill or smoker?

    Answer

To disconnect or manage the wireless functions on your Masterbuilt digital grill or smoker (such as the Gravity Series or Digital Electric Smoker), you can follow these general steps:

    • Using the Control Panel: Most Masterbuilt digital controllers do not have a physical 'WiFi Off' switch. To stop the unit from broadcasting or connecting, you can reset the controller's connectivity settings. This is often done by holding the 'Bluetooth/WiFi' button on the control panel until the icon flashes or disappears.
    • Using the Masterbuilt App: You can remove the grill from your account within the Masterbuilt app settings to stop active data syncing.
    • Network Disconnection: If you wish to prevent the unit from connecting to your home network entirely, you can change your WiFi password or 'forget' the device within your router's management interface.

Please note that the unit will still function as a manual digital smoker/grill using the physical control panel even without a wireless connection. If you are experiencing issues with a specific model, please refer to the manual for that specific controller as steps may vary slightly between the Gravity Series and Electric Smoker lines.
