Zembro Mini is an SOS button for raising an alert.

• Your Zembro Mini is a wearable, ergonomic, rechargeable SOS device that features a built-in SIM card, so it stays connected to the Zembro SafeTrx Care platform when you are indoors and outdoors (wherever mobile coverage is available).
• It can be worn as a pendant using the lanyard or popped into your pocket. We recommend that you always keep it with you.

Charging Your Device

• Place the device on the charging base.
• Connect the USB cable from the charging base to the AC adaptor.
• The charging base light will glow when charging and turn solid when fully charged.

TIP

• When using the device for the first time, please fully charge the battery for around 2-3 hours.
• In addition to daily charging, we also highly recommend to charge the device after using the SOS function.
• When the battery level falls below 20%, it will give a voice prompt in addition to sending a low battery warning message to recipients on the contact list via text message or app.
• Battery life varies by use and configuration; actual results will vary.

Battery Status

When you quickly press the SOS button, you not only get the time, but also the battery status via the red LED light.
The red LED light will flash x number of times:

• Flash 1 time = 20% or less
• Flash 2 times = 40-20%
• Flash 3 times = 60-40%
• Flash 4 times = 80-60%
• Flash 5 times = 100-80%

Switching Device On And Off

TO TURN THE DEVICE ON:

• Press the CALL button for 1 second, all the LED’s will flash rapidly.
• The device can also be turned on au-tomatically by charging via the mag-netic cable or by putting it into the charging base.

TO TURN THE DEVICE OFF:

Press and hold the top side button and SOS button together for 3 seconds until the LED’s turn off.

Activating an SOS Alarm

• When you need help, press the SOS button for 3-4 seconds until you hear a voice prompt, indicating an SOS alarm. This will start the sequence of outgoing calls to your designated contacts (up to 9) in addition to notifying your emergency contacts by SMS and/or email (unlimited), as per your preferences.
• If the device fails to connect to the first emergency number, it will call the second emergency number after a delay of 10 seconds.
• In case the second number fails to be connected as well, the system will connect to the third number, etc.

Between each call, there will be a 10-seconds delay, during which time, the user can stop the call sequence or prevent a possible false alarm by pressing the SOS button.

TIP

• Please remember to program emergency contact numbers.
• It is not mandatory for all the authorized numbers to be set, however a minimum of one must always be set.
• Please be patient during the call sequence.
• There can be short delays as the alarm calls phones which might be out of range or gets diverted to recipients’ voicemail.
• We advise emergency contacts to switch off any voicemail facility on their phone to prevent delays in reaching help.

However, the following safe-guards are used if a voicemail is reached:

• The wearer can end the current call by clicking the SOS button or the calling sequence will continue when the voicemail automatically disconnects.
• Alternatively, you may choose to subscribe to one of our emergency response partners in Belgium, Netherlands, France or Germany. Their trained call center agents are always on hand to help, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

How Contacts Can Call Your Device

• A designated emergency contact can call back to the watch when it is not in alert mode.
• Simply dial the contact number of the device (starts with prefix +46, +49 or +41).

Fall Detection

Mini offers wearable fall detection with adjustable sensitivity settings. When a fall is detected, the device will give a warning message.

• Be careful as some daily activities like sitting down abruptly may trigger a fall alarm.
• When this happens, simply cancel the fall alarm by clicking Cancel on the device. If the alarm is not cancelled, emergency contacts will be called.
• The pendant is not guaranteed to detect all falls. Always press the SOS button in case of an emergency.

Getting a GPS Fix

• To enable the GPS location, please go outdoors or move close to a window so the device can get a fix on the satellites.
• This could take a few minutes depending on your environment.
• At-home location is available when used in combination with the BLE (Bluetooth) beacon located in the charging cradle.
• Zembro can provide additional beacons to optimize indoor locating.

At Home Location

The charging cradle of the Zembro Mini functions as an indoor beacon, meaning if you alert when at home, your family, your care service provider or your 24/7 care centre can locate you more effectively.
Remember to keep your charging station plugged in at all times for it to work properly. Please contact our customer service team to set up your charging base as a beacon: this can be done remotely with little to no inconvenience.

Silent Mode

Double-click the silent mode button to turn off voice warnings. Double-click again to turn the voice warnings back on.

Receiving an Alert

• If you are the emergency contact for a person wearing a Zembro
• Mini SOS button, the following section describes how to receive and respond to alerts.
• You will receive a call from the person sending the alert, as well as an SMS text message and an email from Zembro, which contains alert information and a clickable link.
• Clicking this link opens your phone or PC browser and takes you to a site that gives you the alert details and the latest location of the person pressing the alert.
• This alert page gets updated every minute with the location of the person when they activated the alarm.
• We recommend that you test the alert service when first using a new Zembro Mini SOS button and save to your favourites the number that calls and texts you, to ensure it can override any do-not-disturb or silent mode that you may set on your phone (e.g. at night-time).
• You may need to consult your phone’s settings for more details on how to do this.

Water Resistance

Zembro Oktave, Comfort and Mini are splash water resistant but not waterproof. You can, for example, wear and use the device during exercise, in the rain, and while washing your hands, but submerging your device is not recommended.
Comfort, Oktave and Mini have a water resistance rating of IPX7 under IEC standard 60529.
Water resistance isn’t a permanent condition and can diminish over time. The device can’t be rechecked or resealed for water resistance.

The following can affect the water resistance of your Mini and should be avoided:

• Dropping your Mini or exposing it to other impacts
• Exposing your Mini to soap or soapy water (for example, while showering or bathing)
• Exposing your Mini to disinfectants, perfume, solvents, chlorine, detergent, acids or acidic foods, insect repellents, lotions, sun- screen, oil, or hair dye
• Exposing your Mini to high-velocity water
• Wearing your Mini in a steam room
• Wearing your Mini in a sauna

While the above should be avoided, if your Zembro MINI accidentally gets exposed to soaps, shampoos, conditioners, lotions, disinfectants, perfumes, solvents, detergent, acids or acidic foods, insect repellent, sunscreen, oil, hair dye, chlorine or any substance other than water, it should be cleaned with pure warm water and dried with a lint-free cloth. Chemicals found in these items could negatively affect water seals and acoustic membranes.

Caution

• Don’t use or store the device in dusty places.
• Avoid storing or using the device likely to be exposed to extremes of temperature.
• Clean the device with a dry cloth. Don’t clean it using chemicals or detergents.
• Don’t disassemble or refit the device.
• Avoid using chargers or cables, not original to your Zembro device.
• The built-in nano-SIM card can only be used inside the European Union (EU 28).
