Product Usage Instructions

Preparation

Before building the WIND X80 keyboard, ensure you have the following items ready.

• PCB mount stabilizers: 1pc 6.25U or 7u and 4pcs 2u
• Switches
• Keycaps

Building Structure

1. Install stabilizers on the PCB.
2. Place 0.5mm IXPE sheet on the PCB according to your preference.
3. Add 3.5mm foam to the build as desired.
4. Choose your preferred mount build method:
   • PCB gasket mount: Install silicone gasket and middle frame between PCB and plate.
   • Plate gasket mount: Install silicone gasket and middle frame between plate and PCB.
   • Sandwich Mount Build: Place the sandwich mount plate on the PCB.
5. Install LED blocker foam.
6. Install switches and connect the PCB with TYPE C, ensuring interstructures are in place.
7. Insert a 2mm portion and a 2mm hot-swap portion into the bottom case.
8. Secure the top case and bottom case using M2.5X10 screws.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I use different stabilizer sizes with the WIND X80?

A: Yes, you can use 1pc 6.25U or 7u stabilizer and 4pcs of 2u stabilizers.

Q: How do I test the keys after opening the package?

A: Use tweezers to test all keys for triggering, except for the FN key which will not show a trigger response.

• Before building it, you need to prepare the following items: PCB mount stabilizers 1pcs 6.25Uor 7u and 4pcs 2u, switches, keycap
• After opening the package, check the case first and use tweezers to test all keys can trigger. (FN key will not show trigger)

Build structure

1. Install stabilizers on the PCB
2. Put 0.5mm IXPE sheet on PCB depending on your favourite.
3. Put 3.5mm foam depending on your favourite.
4. Choose amount build
   1. PCB gasket mount(the middle frame should be put between the PCB and plate)
      • PCB gasket Install the silicone gasket to the corresponding position of the PCB and place the middle frame with the “PCB gasket” font facing upwards on the PCB Then put the plate.
   2. Plate gasket mount(the middle frame should be put between the PCB and plate)
      • Plate gasket
      • Install the silicone gasket to the corresponding position of the Plate, and place the middle frame with the “plate gasket” font facing upwards on the PCB. Then put the plate.
   3. Sandwich Mount Build
      • Put sandwich mount plate on the PCB.
   4. Install LED blocker foam.
5. Install switches, inter structure, has been built. Put the 2mm portion and 2mm hot swap portion into the bottom case, and connect the PCB with TYPE C.
6. Fixed top case and bottom case with M2.5X10 screws.
