Quick Setup & Use
- Install the Vault Smart Locks app (Android via Google Play; iOS via the app store).
- Register a new account using a phone number or email, or log in to an existing account.
- On the lock/nearby area, touch the lock screen to light, then tap “+ Add Lock”.
- On the phone, wait for the nearby lock to appear, tap “+” to add it, and rename the lock if desired.
- Connect for Bluetooth unlocking: ensure Bluetooth is on, then unlock by using the app’s unlock action while the phone is within 5 meters of the lock.
- If the lock is not yet added, touching the keypad will automatically place it into Add Mode. If not added via the app, the default PIN is 123456.
Troubleshooting
- Bluetooth unlocking doesn’t work: Check that Bluetooth is on and working. Ensure the phone is within 5 meters of the door lock.
- Face registration fails to be completed: Face registration is not possible beyond 1.2 meters. When adding a face, follow the on-screen prompts based on the flashing indicator (6=turn right, 4=turn left, 8=look down, 2=look up). When you hear the confirmation tone, registration is complete.
- Face recognition not available: If the radar sensor is turned off, face recognition will be unavailable. Press 9# on the lock to temporarily enable the radar sensor (it turns off again after face recognition completes).
- Fingerprint registration problems: Check the fingers for dirt or wear, and check the fingerprint head on the lock for dirt and oil stains before starting.
- Unable to add a lock in the app: Touch the keypad/lock to trigger Add Mode. If the lock has not been added via the app, the default PIN is 123456.
