Installing the timer

1. Carefully remove the back of the timer by placing a flat head
   screwdriver into the slots on the bottom of the unit and push to
   release.
2. Unplug the cable connector from the back of the timer
   screen.
3. Connect the Turner Hastings towel rail to the timer as seen in
   the below wiring diagram.
4. Screw the back plate of the timer to the electrical plate.
5. Plug the cable connector into the back of the timer screen and
   connect the screen to the back of the timer.

Setting the date and time

1. Press the “Mode” button and the time will begin to flash.
2. Use the “Up & down arrows” to select the correct time.
3. Press the “Mode” button until the day begins to flash. (Note:
   Monday is Day 1)
4. Use the “Up & down arrows” to select the correct day.
5. Press the “Confirm settings” button to save the settings.

Heating Modes

When the timer is on, press the “Mode” button to switch between manual and schedule modes.

Manual Mode
In manual mode press the “ON/OFF” button to set the status.

Schedule Mode
In the schedule mode, the timer will follow the heating schedule that is set. Refer to page 9 for programming instructions.

Advanced Settings

1. To access the advanced settings, turn the timer off by pressing the “Power” button.
2. Press the “Mode” button to display setting 01.
3. Use the “Up & down arrows” to adjust the settings.
4. Press the “Mode” button to cycle between setting 01 to 03.
5. Press the “Confirm settings” button to save the settings.

Set up your heating schedule

(For 5+2 Day Program)

1. Turn the timer on by pressing the “Power” button.
2. To set up the heating schedule for Monday to Friday press “Program” button.
3. The time for P1 will flash. This is the first ON period for the day.
4. Use the “Up & down arrows” to adjust the time to when the heated towel rail will turn on in the morning.
5. Press “Confirm settings” and the ON / OF will flash.
6. Using the “Up & down arrows” select ON for P1.
7. Press “Program” to set period 2, which is when the rail will turn off. Use the “Up & down arrows” to adjust the time.
8. Press “Confirm settings” and the ON / OF will flash.
9. Using the “Up & down arrows” select OF for P2.
10. Repeat above steps for P3 and P4 and then press (Note: P3 is turning the heated towel rail on in the evening and P4 is turning it off in the evening)

Factory Reset
To perform a factory reset, press and hold the “Program” button and “Power” button simultaneously for 5 seconds. The timer will reset to its default settings.

Temporary override
To temporarily override the current heating schedule, press the “ON/OFF” button. The override will remain in effect until the next scheduled period begins.

Holiday Mode
To activate holiday mode, press and hold the “Confirm settings” button for 5 seconds. The timer will enter holiday mode and all scheduled heating periods will be cancelled. To exit holiday mode, press any button.

Key lock
To lock the timer and prevent accidental changes, press and hold the “Mode” button and “Confirm settings” button simultaneously for 5 seconds. To unlock, repeat the process.

Installing the timer

Connect the Turner Hastings towel rail to the timer as seen in the below wiring diagram.

Plug the cable connector into the back of the timer screen and connect the screen to the back of the timer.

Heating Modes

Using the  select ON for P1.
Press  to set period 2, which is when the rail will turn off. Use the to adjust the time.
Press and the ON / OF will flash.
Using the select OF for P2.

Repeat above steps for P3 and P4 and then press (Note: P3 is turning the heated towel rail on in the evening and P4 is turning it off in the evening)
If the heated towel rail is only required to be on once a day set to OF for both P3 and P4 and ensure that the time set for P3 and P4 is after the time set for P2.

When Monday-Friday has been set press to go onto the Saturday and Sunday schedule.

The time for P1 will flash. This is the first ON period for Saturday and Sunday.

Use the to adjust the time to when the heated towel rail will turn on in the morning.
Press and the ON / OF will flash.
Using the select ON for P1.
Press to set period 2, which is when the rail will turn off. Use the to adjust the time.
Press and the ON / OF will flash.
Using the select OF for P2.

Repeat above steps for P3 and P4

Turn the timer on by pressing
Change the menu option 02 to setting 02
(7 Day Program) as per instructions on page 8. The 7 day program option means that all 7 days are programmed to the same schedule or all 7 days are programmed individually.

Press until the day display flashes.
If programming all 7 days individually use the to select the day to program first.
If programming all 7 days to the same schedule,press and hold the button for about 5 seconds to select all 7 days.

To set up the heating schedule press
The time for P1 will flash. This is the first ON period for the day.

Use the to adjust the time the heated towel rail will turn on in the morning.
Press and the ON / OF will flash.
Using the select ON for P1.
Press to set period 2, which is when the rail will turn off. Use the to adjust the time.
Press and the ON / OF will flash.
Using the select OF for P2

Repeat above steps for P3 and P4 and then press (Note: P3 is turning the heated towel rail on in the evening and P4 is turning it off in the evening)

If programming all 7 days to the same schedule, the program is now set up.

If programming all 7 days individually, press and use the to select the next day to program.

Factory Reset

Press to turn the timer off
Press and the hold until 04 is displayed
Press and hold for approx. 5 seconds will display on the screen and then the timer has been reset.
Turn the timer back on to setup the program

Temporary Override

Turning the timer onto a temporary override will allow the timer to be operated on manual until the next programmed period.
In schedule mode, press the and the ON/OFF display will flash.

Use to adjust the desired setting and Use press to adjust the desired setting and to confirm.

will be displayed below the ON/OFF display. To cancel the override setting press .

Holiday Mode

The Control Panel timer does not have a dedicated holiday mode. To suspend the heating schedule for a period of time turn the timer off using the button.

This will ensure the heating schedule is held and then to resume the heating schedule press the button.

Key Lock

To lock the key pad, press and hold the for 5 seconds or until the displays. To unlock press and hold the until the disappears.
