Important Safety Instructions
- READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE OPERATING.
- Electrocution Hazard: Maintain a safe distance from live electrical wires and power lines. This machine is not insulated.
- Tip-Over Hazard: Do not exceed the maximum platform capacity of [xxx kg/lbs] . Do not raise the platform on uneven, soft, or unstable ground unless the machine is equipped with appropriate leveling jacks and they are properly deployed.
- Fall Hazard: Keep your feet firmly on the platform floor at all times. Do not sit, climb, or stand on the guardrails. Wear a personal fall arrest system (PFAS) and secure the lanyard to the designated anchor point inside the basket.
- Collision Hazard: Watch for obstructions, overhead hazards, and other personnel. Ensure all safety signs and decals on the machine are legible.
- Operation by Qualified Personnel Only: Operators must be trained and authorized.

Operating Instructions
- Pre-Operation Inspection
- Check for hydraulic oil leaks, damaged hoses, or loose wires
- Ensure all guardrails, pins, and fasteners are in place and secure.
- Check tire condition and pressure (if applicable).
- Inspect platform surface for debris.
Test all safety devices (e.g., tilt alarm, limit switches).
From Ground Control Panel
- Turn the Key Switch to “Ground” position.
- Pull out the Emergency Stop button to power on.
- Check the battery charge indicator. Recharge if low.
- Lift / Lower: Use the designated toggle switches to raise or lower the platform for testing.
From Platform Control Panel
- Turn the Key Switch to “Platform” position.
- Pull out the Emergency Stop button. The buzzer may sound briefly.
- Enable the drive function by slowly pressing the Proportional Joystick in the desired direction.
Note: On most models, the lift function is disabled while driving, and vice versa. - To Raise Platform: Activate the Lift Enable trigger (usually on the joystick) and push the joystick forward (or press the dedicated “Up” button).
- Steering: Use the toggle switch (usually left thumb) to steer the rear wheels while stationary or moving slowly.
- Lowering: Pull the joystick back (or press “Down”).
Emergency Lowering
If power fails, the platform can be lowered from the ground:
- Locate the Emergency Descent Valve (usually a manual release knob near the hydraulic manifold on the base).
- Slowly turn the knob counterclockwise.
- The platform will descend by gravity. Release the knob to stop.
- Transportation (Loading & Unloading)
- Loading Surface: Ensure the trailer or truck bed is level and has sufficient load capacity.
- Positioning: Drive the lift onto the transport vehicle using platform controls.
- The chassis should be fully lowered.
Securing:
- Apply the parking brake (if equipped) or chock the wheels.
- Use chains or straps of adequate rating. Secure at the designated tie-down points on the chassis. DO NOT secure to the guardrails, axles, or hydraulic lines.
Maintenance
- Battery Maintenance: Check electrolyte levels weekly (for lead-acid batteries). Keep terminals clean and tight. Charge the battery immediately after each use to prevent sulfation.
- Hydraulic System: Check oil level daily. Change hydraulic oil filter after every [xxx] hours of operation.
- Lubrication: Grease pivot points and scissor bearings every [xxx] hours or as specified in the lubrication chart.
- Daily: Wipe down the scissor arms and inspect for dents or cracks.
Troubleshooting
- Problem Possible Cause Solution
- Platform will not lift Emergency stop pushed; Low battery; Overload
- Pull out E-stop; Charge battery; excess weight
- Problem Possible Cause Solution
- Machine will not drive Platform raised (drive cut-out); Brake not released
- Lower platform; Check brake release switch
- Alarm sounds continuously Tilt sensor activated (slope too steep) Move machine to level ground; platform
- Slow drive/lift speed Low battery voltage; Low hydraulic oil Charge battery; Check/add hydraulic
