JBL Boombox 3 Quick Start Guide
What's in the Box
The package includes the JBL Boombox 3 speaker and a power cord. Note that the quantity of power cords and plug types may vary by region.
Bluetooth Pairing
To pair your device with the JBL Boombox 3:
- Press and hold the Bluetooth button on the speaker for a few seconds until the Bluetooth indicator light flashes.
- On your smartphone or other Bluetooth-enabled device, go to Bluetooth settings, turn Bluetooth ON, and select "JBL Boombox 3" from the list of available devices.
- Once connected, the Bluetooth indicator light will turn solid blue.
Play
Control your music playback directly from the speaker:
- Press the Play/Pause button (▷/II) once to play or pause music.
- Press the Next Track button (▷▷) twice to skip to the next track.
- Press the Previous Track button (KK) twice to go to the previous track.
- Adjust volume using the Volume Up (+) and Volume Down (-) buttons.
Charging
To charge the JBL Boombox 3, connect the power cord to the speaker's AC input and plug it into a power outlet. The battery indicator will show the charging status. A full charge takes approximately 6.5 hours.
Powerbank Functionality
The JBL Boombox 3 can also function as a power bank to charge other devices. Connect your device to the USB-A port on the speaker using a USB cable.
Waterproof and Dustproof (IP67)
The JBL Boombox 3 is rated IP67, meaning it is waterproof and dustproof. It can be submerged in water up to 1 meter for up to 30 minutes. Ensure all ports are dry and clean before charging or connecting to other devices.
JBL Portable App
Enhance your experience with the JBL Portable app. Use the app for speaker configuration and software upgrades. Download it from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.

Important Safety Information
To protect battery lifespan, fully charge at least once every 3 months. Battery life will vary due to usage patterns and environmental conditions.
Do not expose the JBL Boombox 3 to liquids without removing cable connection. Do not expose JBL Boombox 3 to water while charging. It may result in permanent damage to the speaker or power source.
Chemicals, salt or "foreign particles” in your pool or the ocean can damage the waterproof seals or harm the connector surface over time if not rinsed off after use. After a liquid spill or rinse, do not charge your speaker until it's completely dry and clean. Charging when wet might damage your speaker.
