Get Started with the App
The Philips MasterConnect app serves as the primary tool for setting up, configuring, and managing your MasterConnect system on site. To begin, download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and register using your email address.
Create a Project
Every MasterConnect installation begins with creating a project. This project will store all information related to your groups and lights.
- From the left-side menu, select "Add a new project" to initiate the creation process.
- Enter a name for your project and, optionally, its location. Confirm by tapping "Create a project".
- Select your newly created project to begin adding groups and lights.
Commissioning Lights and Switches
To connect and commission MasterConnect lights, you will first create a group and then add the lights to the appropriate group using Bluetooth.
- Tap the "+" icon and enter a name to create a new group.
- Tap "+" and then "lights" to add MC devices.
- Allow the app a moment to discover the MC devices.
- Add lights by selecting them from the device list or by using a torchlight function (available for integrated sensors only). Click "Finish commissioning" when complete.
Adding Switches
For manual control of your lighting, you can add a wireless switch to any group or zone.
- Tap "+" and select "Switches" to begin the process.
- Choose the brand and model of your switch.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to set up the switch.
- For switches with four buttons, you can assign two distinct scenes to them.
Configuration
The default lighting behavior can be customized to meet specific project requirements. This is achieved by modifying the configuration settings for a group, a zone, or an individual light.
- After adding your lights, tap the configuration icon ⚙️.
- Select "Edit configuration".
- Review and adjust the parameters as needed.
- Tap "Save and apply" to finalize the configuration changes.
Philips MC Control App
The Philips MC Control app allows you to dim lights or adjust the color temperature of lights within a group or zone. Download the app, scan the QR code generated in the installer app, and start controlling your lighting – no account is required.
Energy Reporting
Monitor the energy usage of your groups through the Philips MasterConnect App. This feature allows you to compare and report on energy consumption.
- Tap "Group info".
- Tap "Create new report".
- Access the history and download reports to view past readings.
