Connect the Router
Tips: If you use the modem for internet access, power off the modem before proceeding.
- Connect the WAN port of the router to the LAN port of your modem or Ethernet jack using an Ethernet cable.
- Power on the router by connecting it to a power outlet.
Connect the Router to the Internet
- Your device should automatically open the web UI of the router. If not, start a browser and enter tendewifi.com or 192.168.0.1 in the address bar to access the web UI, or use the Tenda WiFi app on your smartphone.
- Follow the onscreen instructions to connect the router to the internet.
Connect the router
Tips: If you use the modem for internet access, power off the modem first before connecting the WAN port of the router to the LAN port of your modem and power it on after the connection.
- Connect the WAN port of the router to the LAN port of your modem or the Ethernet jack using an Ethernet cable.
- Power on the router.
Connect the router to the internet
- Connect your devices to the router.
- WiFi-enabled devices: Connect to the WiFi network of the router. The default WiFi name (SSID) can be found on the bottom label of the router. There is no password by default.
- Wired devices: Connect to a LAN port (Marked LAN) of the router using an Ethernet cable.
- Your device will automatically pop up the web UI of the router. If not, start a browser, and enter tendawifi.com or 192.168.0.1 in the address bar to access the web UI of the router, or run the Tenda WiFi app on the smartphone. Follow the onscreen instructions to connect the router to the internet.

To access the internet with:
- WiFi-enabled devices: Connect to the WiFi network using the WiFi name and password you set.
- Wired devices: Connect to a LAN port (Marked LAN) of the router using an Ethernet cable.
FAQ
Q1: I cannot log in to the web UI of the router by visiting tendawifi.com or 192.168.0.1. What should I do?
A1: Try the following solutions:
- If you are using a WiFi-enabled device, such as a smartphone:
- Ensure that it connects to the WiFi network of the router.
- Ensure that the cellular network (mobile data) of the smartphone is disabled.
- If you are using a wired device, such as a computer:
- Ensure that you enter tendawifi.com or 192.168.0.1 in the address bar (not searching bar) of the browser.
- Ensure that the computer is connected to a LAN port of the router properly using an Ethernet cable.
- Ensure that the computer is set to Obtain an IP address automatically and Obtain DNS server address automatically.
If the problem persists, reset the router by referring to Q3, and try again.
I cannot access the internet after the configuration. What should I do?
Try the following solutions first: • Check whether the WAN port of the router is connected to a modem or Ethernet jack properly. • Log in to the web UI of the router and navigate to the Internet Settings page. Follow the instructions on the page to solve the problem. If the problem persists, try the following solutions: • For WiFi-enabled devices: − Check whether your WiFi-enabled devices are connected to the WiFi network of the router. − Log in to the web UI and change your WiFi name and WiFi password on Wireless page. Then try again. • For wired devices: − Check whether your wired devices are connected to a LAN port of the router properly. − Check whether wired devices are set to Obtain an IP address automatically and Obtain DNS server address automatically.
How to reset the router?
When the SYS indicator blinks, hold down the reset button (Marked RST or Reset) for about 8 seconds, and then release it when all the LED indicators light up. The router is reset.
What should I do if I forgot my WiFi password?
Log in to the web Ul of the router on your wired or WiFi-enabled device, navigate to Wireless page, and check your WiFi password.
What should I do if I forgot the login password of the router?
Use the WiFi password of the router to log in to the Web UI. If you still cannot log into the Web UI, see Q3 to reset the router, and reset the login password.
