Product Usage Instructions:
Connecting the TSM4-IS to the Radio:

Intrinsically Safe Audio Accessories
Intrinsically Safe (IS) audio accessories are certified by a third party to be safe to use in particular hazardous locations or in potentially explosive atmospheres. The TSM4-IS is approved to the following ratings:
l Class I, Division 1, Groups C, D, l Class I, Division 2, Groups A, B, C, D l Class II, Division 1, Groups E, F, G l Class III, Division 1 T4, Ta = -4°F to +140°F (-20°C to +60°C).
Only use the TSM4-IS with radio models:
l Tait TP9500 IS l Tait TP9600 IS
Compatible radios and accessories are marked with a black diamond on orange background.

Transmit Audio from the TSM4-IS
Loosen the cover screw.
Remove the cover.
1. Hold the TSM4-IS 24 in. (510 cm) from your mouth.
2. Press and hold the PTT button. 3. Talk into the microphone.
Receive Audio on the TSM4-IS
This product is not intended for permanent outdoor installation.
Attach the TSM4-IS connector.
Tighten the TSM4-IS connector screw.
Connecting the TSM4-IS to the radio disables the radio speaker.
To adjust the volume to a comfortable level, turn the volume control knob on the radio.
Listening at high volume can cause hearing damage. Always reduce the volume to a comfortable listening level.

Connecting an Earpiece
The TSM4-IS speaker is muted when an earpiece is connected.
Earpiece Wearing Position
Cleaning Procedures
Remove the connector bung.
Turn the volume down.
Plug the earpiece accessory cable into the audio connector jack.
No Earpiece Connected
When you are not using an earpiece, keep the 3.5 mm connector bung inserted into the audio jack.
Seal the 3.5 mm earpiece connector with the bung.
Wipe the body of the TSM4-IS with a damp sponge and diluted dishwashing liquid.

Connexion d’un écouteur
Le haut-parleur TSM4-IS est coupé lorsqu’un écouteur est connecté.
Retirer le bouchon du connecteur.
Baissez le volume.
Branchez le câble accessoire de l’écouteur dans la prise du connecteur audio.

Desserrez la vis du couvercle.
Retirer le couvercle.
1. Tenez le TSM4-IS à 510 cm de votre bouche.

Réception audio
Fixez le TSM4-IS connecteur.
Serrez la vis du connecteur TSM4-IS.
La connexion du TSM4-IS à la radio désactive le haut-parleur de la radio.

Une écoute à haut volume peut provoquer une perte d’audition et/ou des dommages irréversibles de l’ouïe. Réglez le volume à un niveau sonore confortable.
