The SUNLU AMS Heater is designed to enhance your 3D printing experience by providing efficient filament drying directly within your Bambu Lab AMS Gen 1. This device allows for simultaneous drying and printing, ensuring optimal filament condition and improving print quality. It integrates seamlessly with your existing AMS setup, offering smart humidity control and a triple-safe heating system.

4. Setup jeung Instalasi

The SUNLU AMS Heater is designed for easy, 3-step installation as a drop-in replacement for the original Bambu Lab AMS Gen 1 top cover. No drilling or permanent modifications are required.

  1. Loosen Original Screws: Unscrew the four hinge screws on your Bambu Lab AMS Gen 1 and carefully remove the original top cover.
  2. Pasang Engsel: Mount the provided hinges onto the side pins of the SUNLU AMS Heater.
  3. Secure Heater: Place the SUNLU AMS Heater onto the AMS unit, aligning the hinges. Secure it by tightening the four screws.

The installation process is straightforward. A magnetic screwdriver is recommended for easier handling of the small screws. Once installed, connect the power cord to the heater unit and plug it into a suitable power outlet.

5. Parentah Operasi

5.1 Daya Hurung/Pareuman

After connecting the power cord, press the power button on the control panel to turn the device on or off.

The device offers presets for different 3D filament types, simplifying the setup process.

5.3 Intelligent Humidity Control

The AMS Heater automatically starts heating when the humidity inside the chamber rises to a preset value (e.g., ≥ 50%). It stops heating once the humidity drops to a desired low level (e.g., ≤ 20%), ensuring optimal drying without over-drying.

This feature ensures your filament remains at ideal moisture levels for consistent print quality.

5.4 Manual Air Outlet

The device includes a manual air outlet. This can be used to release excess moisture, especially during intensive drying operations. Simply slide the cover to open or close the vents.

7. Pangropéa

Ensure the AMS Heater is operating at the recommended temperature and humidity settings for your specific filament type.

8.2 Installation Difficulties (Screws)

Some users have reported difficulty with the small hexagonal screws during installation. Using a magnetic screwdriver can significantly ease the process of handling and securing these screws.

8.3 Sora Kipas

The AMS Heater's internal fan may be audible when the lid is open. However, once the lid is closed and the unit is operating, the fan noise is generally quiet. This is normal operation.
