The KEW 6514BT Multifunction Tester is a versatile instrument packed with measurement functions necessary for completion inspection and maintenance. When combined with the KEW 8601 EVSE Adapter, it enables smart testing of EV ordinary chargers. It features abundant measurement functions including insulation resistance, earth resistance, voltage/frequency, resistance/continuity, RCD test, phase rotation, SPD operating voltage check, live wire E-check, and hand-crank motor phase rotation. 4.2. Battery Installation (KEW 6514BT)
The KEW 6514BT operates on 8 AA alkaline batteries (LR6). To install the batteries:

- CP Signal Output Terminal: Connect an oscilloscope to this terminal to analyze the waveform of the CP signal from the EVSE.
- Measurement Terminals: These terminals provide access points for connecting the KEW 6514BT to measure voltage, resistance, and perform other tests on the EVSE.
5.2. KEW 6514BT Multifunction Tester Functions
The KEW 6514BT offers a wide array of measurement capabilities. Select the desired function using the rotary switch.

- Voltage Measurement between Terminals: Connect the 6514BT to the measurement terminals of the 8601 to measure voltages between L1, L2(N), PE, PP, and CP under various simulated vehicle states.
- Insulation Resistance of Charging Cable: Use the 6514BT's insulation resistance function (e.g., 125V/250V) to test the insulation of the EVSE charging cable via the 8601's terminals.
- Earth Resistance (Simplified/Precision): Perform earth resistance tests of the EVSE's grounding system using the 6514BT connected to the 8601's terminals.
- Live Wire E-check: Verify the live wire status on the earth line of the EVSE.
- Tes RCD: Test the RCD within the EVSE by simulating charging conditions and measuring trip time with the 6514BT.
- Release (Lock Release) Button Resistance Value (PP-PE): Measure the resistance value of the release button on the 8601 to ensure proper operation.
- Programmed Test: Utilize the combined functions to perform a sequence of tests as required by EVSE installation standards.
