TOPTES CT-300 Portable Carbon Monoxide Detector User Manual

Modél: CT-300

1. Introduction to Carbon Monoxide and the CT-300 Detector

Carbon monoxide (CO) is a colorless, odorless, and tasteless gas produced by the incomplete combustion of carbon-containing fuels. It is highly toxic and can lead to serious health issues, including poisoning and death, when inhaled even in small concentrations over time. The TOPTES CT-300 Portable Carbon Monoxide Detector is designed to provide timely and accurate detection of CO gas, helping to protect individuals and families from this silent danger.

This manual provides essential information for the proper use and maintenance of your CT-300 detector. Please read it thoroughly before operating the device.

4.5 Automatic Power Off (APO)

The device is set to automatically power off after 10 minutes of no CO detection or inactivity to conserve battery life. This feature can be disabled if continuous monitoring is required. Consult the full user manual for instructions on disabling APO.

5. Testing the Detector

It is recommended to periodically test the functionality of your CT-300 detector to ensure it is working correctly. You can assess its operational status using the following methods:

Two images side-by-side. Left: A hand holding a lit cigarette over an ashtray, producing smoke. Right: A car's exhaust pipe emitting smoke. These illustrate methods to test the CO detector.

Gambar 5.1: Methods for testing CT-300 functionality.

  • Haseup roko: In a well-ventilated area, hold a lit cigarette near the detector's sensor. The device should register a CO reading and potentially trigger an alarm.
  • Burning Organic Matter: Carefully burn a small piece of paper or other organic material in a sealed, non-flammable container (e.g., a metal can) and expose the detector to the smoke. The device should react to the CO produced.
  • Vehicle Exhaust: Briefly expose the detector to vehicle exhaust fumes in an open, outdoor area. The detector should show a significant CO reading.

Awas: Perform these tests in a safe, well-ventilated outdoor environment to avoid CO exposure. Do not intentionally expose yourself to high concentrations of CO.

6. Pangropéa

6.1 Ngagantian batré

When the low-power indicator appears on the screen, it is time to replace the batteries. Follow the steps outlined in the Setup: Pamasangan Batré section (Section 3).

  • Always use new, high-quality AAA alkaline batteries.
  • Ulah campur batré heubeul jeung anyar, atawa tipena béda accu.
  • Buang batré anu dipaké nurutkeun peraturan lokal.

6.2 beberesih

To maintain optimal performance, keep the detector clean.

  • Ngusap bagian luar alat ku lemes, damp lawon.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or strong chemicals, as these can damage the device or sensor.
  • Ensure the sensor opening is free from dust and debris. Do not insert any objects into the sensor opening.
