5.3. Placing the Lid

Align the lid with the main body and gently place it on top. The motion sensor will activate once the batteries are installed and the lid is correctly positioned.

To open the lid, simply wave your hand approximately 6-10 inches above the motion sensor located on the front of the lid. The lid will open quickly (within 0.3 seconds) and remain open for about 5-6 seconds before closing automatically. This touchless operation promotes hygiene.

For extended opening, you can press the manual open/close button on the lid. Pressing it once will open the lid, and pressing it again will close it. This is useful for tasks requiring the lid to stay open longer, such as changing the trash bag.
