Follow these steps for initial setup and installation of your GWN7664LR access point.
1. Mounting the Access Point:
The GWN7664LR is designed for outdoor wall or pole mounting. Choose a location that provides optimal Wi-Fi coverage and is protected from direct impact.
- Attach the mounting bracket to the desired surface (wall or pole) using the provided screws and anchors.
- Securely attach the GWN7664LR access point to the mounting bracket. Ensure it clicks into place.
2. Powering Alat:
The GWN7664LR supports Power over Ethernet (PoE/PoE+).
- Connect an Ethernet cable from a PoE/PoE+ enabled switch or a PoE injector (not included) to the LAN/PoE port on the GWN7664LR.
- Ensure the PoE source provides sufficient power (48V DC, 0.5A or higher).
- The Power LED on the access point will illuminate once power is successfully applied.
