2. Setup Guide
2.1 Powering Alat
The SMARTRO SC91 can be powered by a DC adapter (included) for continuous operation and display brightness, or by 2 AA batteries (not included) for backup power and portability. Batteries are primarily for memory backup during power outages.
- Insert 2 AA batteries into the battery compartment on the back of the main unit, observing polarity.
- Connect the DC power adapter to the main unit and plug it into a wall outlet. The display will light up.
2.2 Setting Up the Wireless Outdoor Sensor
The outdoor sensor transmits temperature and humidity data to the main unit.
- Open the battery compartment of the wireless sensor and insert 2 AA batteries, observing polarity.
- Select a channel (1, 2, or 3) on the sensor. The main unit will automatically search for the sensor.
- Place the outdoor sensor in a shaded area, protected from direct sunlight and rain, to ensure accurate readings and prolong its lifespan. The transmission range is up to 200ft/60m in an open area.
