4. Setup jeung Instalasi
Follow these steps carefully for proper assembly and installation of your D1000 antenna.
4.1 Majelis
- Attach Radial Elements: Carefully screw the upper (shorter) and lower (longer) radial elements into their designated threaded holes on the antenna's central hub. Ensure they are finger-tight, then use the provided hex key to gently secure them. Do not overtighten.
- Install Vertical Element: Attach the vertical element frequency extender to the top of the central hub.
- Panyambung: The antenna features an SO-239 connector at the base for coaxial cable attachment.
4.2 Pamasangan
The Taurus D1000 is designed for mast mounting. The maximum mast diameter supported is 1-3/8 inches (35mm).
- Pilih Lokasi: Choose a mounting location that is as high and clear as possible, away from obstructions like buildings, trees, and power lines.
- Secure Mast: Ensure your mast is securely installed and properly grounded.
- Pasangkeun Antena: Use the provided U-bolts and mounting hardware to attach the antenna to the mast. Tighten the nuts evenly to secure the antenna without deforming the mast or antenna base.
- Sambungkeun kabel Coaxial: Connect a high-quality 50-ohm coaxial cable with a PL-259 connector to the SO-239 connector on the antenna. Ensure the connection is tight and weatherproofed.

- Wide-Band Reception: The antenna is designed for wide-band reception from 25 MHz to 1300 MHz, making it suitable for various scanning applications.
- Multi-Band Transmit: For transmitting, the D1000 is optimized for amateur bands at 144 MHz, 220 MHz, 440 MHz, 900 MHz, and 1290 MHz.
- SWR: The antenna maintains a Standing Wave Ratio (SWR) of 1.5:1 maximum, ensuring efficient power transfer.
- Daya maksimum: The antenna can handle a maximum power of 200 watts. Do not exceed this power rating to prevent damage to the antenna or connected equipment.
