3.2 Connecting to Radio

1. Ensure your Motorola portable radio (DP4401 Ex, DP4801ex ATEX, MTP8500Ex, MTP8550Ex) is powered off.
2. Locate the accessory port on your radio.
3. Connect the 3.5mm jack from the headset's coiled cable into the radio's accessory port. Ensure a firm connection.
4. Position the microphone approximately 1-2 cm from your mouth for optimal voice pickup.
5. Adjust the earcups for a snug fit to maximize noise reduction and audio clarity.
