3. Pamasangan

3.1 Pamasangan Sensor

  1. Ensure the fuel/water tank is empty or at a safe level before installation.
  2. Select the appropriate sensor length for your tank depth.
  3. Mount the sensor using the SAE standard 5-hole pattern. Use the provided 5 M5 screws and 2mm thick gasket to ensure a secure and leak-proof seal.
  4. Position the sensor so that the float can move freely throughout the tank's full range.

3.2 Gauge Wiring

Refer to the wiring diagram below for proper connection. Incorrect wiring can damage the gauge or sensor.

Gauge Connections:

  • Terminal 1: Battery Positive (+9-32VDC)
  • Terminal 2: Battery Negative (-) / Ground
  • Terminal 3: Sensor Signal Input
  • Terminal 5: Backlight Positive (+9-32VDC)

  • Kawat Biru: Connect to Ground line (Battery Negative)
  • Kawat coklat: Connect to Gauge Signal Input (Terminal 3)

Important Note: Wires should not be connected directly to battery positive (+) without the gauge. Ensure all connections are secure and insulated.

If connecting to a volt meter or hour meter, generally no Terminal 4 is used. If a pull-up resistor is needed to divide voltage, its value should be half of the maximum ohm value of the level sensor.

4. Parentah Operasi

Once properly installed and wired, the fuel level gauge will display the current fuel or water level in your tank. The gauge indicates levels from 'E' (Empty) to 'F' (Full).

  • Empty Level (0 ohm): When the tank is empty, the gauge will point to 'E'. Note that there will be a small gap (3-15mm) between the sensor float and the bottom of the sensor, which is normal for proper operation.
  • Full Level (190 ohm): When the tank is full, the gauge will point to 'F'. Similarly, a small gap (3-15mm) will exist between the float and the top of the sensor.
  • The red backlight will illuminate when the backlight positive wire is connected, providing visibility in low-light conditions.

    • Ensure the sensor's output signal (0-190 ohm) matches the gauge's input range.
