5.2. Powering Alat

The sensor can be powered by either AAA batteries or a Type-C USB cable.

5.2.1. Pamasangan batré

  1. Push down the rear cover of the device to open the battery compartment.
  2. Insert 2 LR03 AAA batteries, ensuring correct positive (+) and negative (-) polarity.
  3. Snap the back cover of the bracket into the main body and push it upwards to secure.

Note: Batteries are not included. Do not use rechargeable batteries.

5.2.2. Type-C USB Power

Connect a Type-C USB cable (not included) to the USB power interface on the sensor and to a USB DC 5V/>100mA power adapter. When using Type-C power, the batteries (if installed) will automatically stop working to save power.

5.3. Pasang Sénsor

The sensor can be mounted using the provided double-sided tape or screws.

  1. Using Double-sided Tape: Clean the desired surface thoroughly. Apply the two pieces of double-sided tape to the back of the sensor or its mounting bracket, then firmly press the device onto the wall.
  2. Ngagunakeun Screws: Use the mounting bracket (if included) and appropriate screws to fix the device securely to the wall.

Important: Ensure the sensing surface is aligned with the area you wish to monitor. Avoid placing the sensor where it might be affected by strong air currents (e.g., near vents) or constantly moving objects (e.g., curtains) to prevent false detections.

A Zigbee 3.0 Hub (gateway) is required for the sensor to function and connect to your smart home system (e.g., Home Assistant via Zigbee2MQTT).

  1. Ensure your Zigbee gateway is powered on and in pairing mode. Refer to your gateway's manual for specific instructions on how to enter pairing mode.
  2. On the Haozee sensor, locate the SET button (often referred to as the pairing button).
  3. Press and hold the SET button for 3 seconds. The indicator light will quickly flash, indicating the device has entered network configuration mode.
  4. Once your Zigbee gateway detects the sensor, follow the prompts in your smart home application (e.g., Home Assistant) to complete the binding process.

Note: This sensor supports Home Assistant via Zigbee2MQTT. It will NOT work with Tuya Zigbee Hub or Tuya App directly, and does NOT support ZHA.

  • Deteksi Gerak (PIR): Detects movement within a range of up to 5 meters and a 120-degree angle.
  • Stationary Detection (mmWave Radar): Detects subtle movements or stationary presence within a range of up to 3.5 meters and a 120-degree angle. This is particularly useful for elderly care or monitoring if someone is present but not actively moving (e.g., sleeping).

6.2. Environmental Sensing (4-in-1 Version Only)

  • Panginderaan Cahaya Ambient: The sensor detects ambient light levels (0-3500x). This data can be used to create smart automations, such as turning lights on/off automatically based on room brightness or when movement is detected.
  • Temperature & Humidity Sensing: Monitors indoor temperature and humidity, providing real-time data to your smart home system. This allows for automation of HVAC systems, humidifiers, or fans to maintain optimal comfort.

6.4. Indikator LED

  • A red light flashes once when human presence is detected (this feature can be disabled in the app).
  • For PIR-only versions, a single click of the SET button can toggle the LED indicator: one long flash means ON, three flashes mean OFF.

6.5. Data Reporting Logic

  • Light values are collected every 1 minute and uploaded automatically if there is a change.
  • As a low-power device, parameters are updated only when the device is triggered or uploads data.
  • When the status is 'no one', the sensor first uses PIR to detect 'presence'. Only after PIR detects someone will the mmWave radar activate for static detection.
  • Temperature and humidity data are collected every 15 seconds and reported only if the temperature changes by 0.3°C or humidity by 3%.
