Guide Setup

1. Connecting the HomeBase to the Internet

1. Power on the HomeBase.
2. Use the provided Ethernet cable to connect the HomeBase to your home router.
3. The LED indicator on the HomeBase will turn green (this may take up to 1 minute) when it is ready for setup.

2. Setting Up the System via the Aosu App

1. Find a Good Mounting Spot

To ensure optimal performance, test the wireless signal strength at your desired mounting location:

1. Open the Aosu App and navigate to Camera Settings > Quick Start.
2. Take your camera and smartphone to the location where you intend to mount the camera.
3. Use the app to test the Wi-Fi signal strength.
4. Move the camera as close to your Wi-Fi router as possible to achieve a better signal.

2. Select Height and Location

• Jangkungna: Hang the SolarCam D1 Classic 2-3 meters (approximately 6.5-10 feet) above the ground. This height maximizes the detection range of the camera's motion sensor.
• Orientation for Solar Panel:
  • When installing in the Northern Hemisphere, face the camera (and thus the solar panel) towards the south for maximum sunlight exposure.
  • When installing in the Southern Hemisphere, face the camera towards the north.

2. Insert the provided plugs into the drilled holes.
3. Tighten the screws to secure the mounting base and camera.

• Camera not charging via solar panel: Ensure the solar panel is clean and free from obstructions (e.g., leaves, dirt). Verify it's positioned to receive at least 3 hours of direct sunlight daily.
• Camera not tracking motion: Check the camera's motion detection settings in the Aosu app. Ensure the PIR motion sensor is clean and unobstructed.
