Thank you for choosing the Haozee Tuya Smart Zigbee Soil Tester. This device is designed to help you monitor your plants with ease by detecting ambient air temperature and soil moisture levels. To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your product, please read this manual thoroughly and retain it for future reference.
This smart soil tester integrates seamlessly with the Tuya Zigbee ecosystem, allowing for remote monitoring and automation through the Smart Life mobile application or Home Assistant via zigbee2mqtt.

5. Setup Guide
5.1 Pamasangan batré

5.2 App Download and Account Setup
- Download the "Smart Life" app from your smartphone's app store (Google Play for Android or App Store for iOS).
- Buka aplikasi Smart Life.
- Create a new account or log in with an existing one.
5.3 Pairing with Tuya Zigbee Hub
Important: This device requires a Tuya Zigbee hub (smart gateway) to function. It does not connect directly to Wi-Fi.
- Ensure your Tuya Zigbee hub is powered on and connected to your home network (2.4GHz Wi-Fi router).
- In the Smart Life app, tap "Add device" or the "+" icon to begin adding a new smart device.
- Select the option to automatically discover devices (Bluetooth/Wi-Fi/Zigbee/wired auto scan) or manually select "Soil Temperature Meter" under sensors.
- On the soil tester, long press the button for approximately 6 seconds until the green LED light flashes for 3 seconds. This indicates it has entered pairing mode.
- Follow the on-screen instructions in the Smart Life app to complete the pairing process. The app will indicate when the connection is 100% complete.
- Once paired, you can edit the name of your plant monitor in the app.

5.4 Nempatkeun alat
- Before inserting the Flower Monitor into the ground, ensure the outer surface of the device is clean.
- Insert the soil moisture sensor into the soil, ensuring at least 2/3 of the probe is submerged. The top part of the unit should have maximum exposure.
- Be careful not to insert the main sensor body (the green/orange part) into the soil. Only the black probe should be in the soil.
- If the soil is too dry, water it slightly before inserting the device to ensure better contact.
- Wait 1-2 minutes after insertion for accurate readings to stabilize.

6. Parentah Operasi
6.1 Data Pemantauan
- Buka aplikasi Smart Life dina smartphone Anjeun.
- Select your Haozee Soil Tester from the device list.
- The app will display real-time soil humidity and ambient temperature readings. Data response time is approximately 60 seconds.
- The app also provides historical data, allowing you to track changes over time (data is stored for the last 7 days).

6.2 Smart Notifications and Automation
- Within the Smart Life app, you can set up smart scenes or automations.
- Pikeun example, configure a rule to send you a notification if the soil humidity drops below a certain percentage (contona, 30%).
- The upper LED indicator on the device will also light up when humidity is low (e.g., below 3%) to visually remind you to water.
- If integrated with other smart home devices (e.g., smart irrigation systems), you can automate watering based on soil moisture levels.

6.3 Switching Temperature Scales
To switch between Celsius (℃) and Fahrenheit (℉) temperature scales:
- Press the physical button on the device.
- The temperature display in the app will toggle between ℃ and ℉.

7. Pangropéa

- Regularly clean the black probe of the soil tester to ensure accurate readings. Wipe off any soil or debris with a soft, damp lawon.
- Before inserting the product into the ground, ensure its outer surface is clean.

- The Smart Life app will provide a low battery reminder when the power is critical.
- Replace the two AAA batteries as described in Section 5.1 Battery Installation.

The device is designed to withstand watering from top to bottom but cannot be soaked in water. Ensure it is not fully submerged to prevent damage to internal components.

9. Tips pamaké

- Kahirupan batré: To maximize battery life, ensure the device is not constantly searching for a connection if the hub is offline, and replace batteries promptly when the low battery alert appears.
