4.1. Cloning Procedure (for BiSecur Rolling Code)
To clone an existing HORMANN BiSecur remote control to your new Scimagic-RC SMG-2023 remote:
- Press and hold the desired button on the new remote where you want to store the code. While holding it, press any other button 3 times. The LED will illuminate red for 10 seconds. Release all buttons.
- Place your original HORMANN remote control on the left side of the new remote control, as close as possible.
- Press the button on the original remote control that you wish to copy. Continue pressing until the LED on the new remote flashes red and blue alternately. If the new remote's LED does not flash blue, try moving the original remote closer.
- Once the blue light on the new remote control flashes quickly, the learning process is complete. Release all buttons.
- Repeat this procedure for any remaining buttons you wish to program.
Note: If your remote does not work after cloning, it may be in fixed code mode. In this case, you will need to program the new remote directly to your receiver unit.
4.2. Reset Method
To assign a new radio code to each button of the remote control:
- Remove the battery from the remote control for 10 seconds.
- Press and hold one button of the remote control.
- While still holding the button, re-insert the battery. The LED will slowly flash blue for 4 seconds, then quickly flash blue for 2 seconds, and finally illuminate solid blue for a long time.
- Release the button. All radio codes are now newly assigned.
Note: If the button is released prematurely during step 4, no new radio codes will be assigned.
4.3. Setting Remote with Fixed Code 868MHz (if applicable)
If you need to activate a fixed code with 868MHz, immediately after performing the reset method (Section 4.2), keep pressing the button of the remote. The LED will slowly flash red for 4 seconds, then quickly flash red for 2 seconds, and finally illuminate solid red for a long time. All radio codes will then be newly assigned to the fixed code mode.
Note: If the button is released prematurely, the BiSecur radio code will remain active.

After successful programming, operate your garage door or gate by pressing the corresponding programmed button on the remote control. The remote features a slide cover to prevent accidental button presses.

The remote control uses a CR2032 battery. If the remote's range decreases significantly or the LED indicator does not light up, it may be time to replace the battery. To replace, carefully open the remote casing, remove the old battery, and insert a new CR2032 battery with the correct polarity.
