The FG-200 DDS Function Signal Generator is a compact and versatile device designed for generating a wide array of waveforms. It is an essential tool for electronic circuit testing, debugging, frequency characteristic analysis, and pulse response testing of audio amplifiers. With its high accuracy and frequency stability, it is also well-suited for calibrating oscilloscope scanning time factors.

5. Parentah Setup

  1. Sambungan Daya: Connect the provided USB to 3.5mm cable to the power input port of the FG-200. For power, use a computer USB interface, a mobile phone charging head, or a power bank. It is highly recommended to use a power source that has passed 3C certification to prevent potential signal generator malfunctions due to poor power supply.
  2. Sambungan Kaluaran: Connect the BNC clamp wire to the DDS OUT port on the generator.

6. Parentah Operasi

6.1. General Operation Flow

  1. Daya Hurung: Press the POWER switch to turn on the device.
  2. Select Waveform: Pencét éta MODE key to cycle through and select the desired output waveform.

  6. Apply Filter: For sine waves of 300KHz or larger, press the FILTER button to clarify the waveform. Note that this may slightly decrease the signal amplituit.
  7. Start/Stop Output: Pencét éta RUN/STOP button to start or stop the waveform output. When the cursor is not flashing, the waveform is being output, and other keys are inactive. To adjust parameters, press RUN/STOP first to make the cursor flash.

  • For optimal performance and to avoid signal noise, always use a high-quality, stable 5V power adapter, preferably one that is 3C certified.
  • When working with higher frequencies, especially sine waves above 300KHz, remember to engage the FILTER function for a cleaner output, keeping in mind a slight amplitude reduction may occur.
  • The device automatically saves your last settings, making it convenient for repeated experiments or measurements.
  • The square wave output is particularly useful for calibrating oscilloscope attenuators and probes due to its sharp transitions.
