4. Setup jeung Instalasi

The P10 Pro is a dual-system head-up display suitable only for gasoline vehicles. It is generally compatible with gasoline vehicles equipped with an OBD2 agreement:

  • Amérika Sarikat: Cars produced after 2004.

  1. Locate the 16-pin OBD2 diagnostic link in your vehicle.
  2. Connect the provided OBD cable to the diagnostic link and then to the P10 Pro device.

4.3. Initial Power-On and Language Selection

Once connected, the device will power on automatically when the car engine starts. You may be prompted to select a language:

  1. The device will display "Connecting..." and then a language selection screen.
  2. Use the setting button (push left/right) to navigate through language options (e.g., English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Russian).
  3. Short press the setting button to confirm your selection.

5.3. Accessing and Adjusting Settings

To access the settings menu, long press the setting button. Use push left/right to navigate and short press to confirm. Long press again to save and exit.

Key Settings Explained:

  • Set Basa: Choose your preferred language (e.g., English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Russian).
  • Saklar Sora: Turn the buzzer on/off (default is on).
  • Alarm laju: Default value is 150. When speed exceeds this value, the HUD will alarm. Adjust using push left/right.
  • Alarm coolant: Default value is 120°C. The device will alarm if coolant temperature exceeds this.

  • Alarm Bat: Default value is 10.5V. The device will alarm if battery voltage drops below this.

    • This product is only available for cars with OBD2 and EU-OBD agreements (European region: after 2003; other regions: after 2007).
    • It does not support JOBD and OBDI. Test with another compatible car.
  3. Inaccurate Speed.
    • First, check if the speed unit (KM/H or MPH) is correct in the settings and switch if necessary.
    • If the dashboard speed differs from the device speed (e.g., dashboard shows 100, device shows 101), enter the settings menu (long press), navigate to 'Speed Adjust', and adjust the value (default 107%) to match your dashboard.
  4. Inaccurate Fuel Consumption.
    • Check your car's engine displacement and set the device's 'Engine Size' to match (e.g., if your car is 2.0L, set the device value to 2.0L).
    • The 'Fuel Adjust' setting can also be adjusted (default 100%). However, it is generally not recommended to change it as all data is read directly from the car's ECU.
  5. RPM Alarm.
    • The default RPM alarm is 6000. Adjust this value in the settings if needed.
  6. Over Speed Alarm.
    • The default over speed alarm is 150 KM/H. Adjust this value in the settings if needed.
  7. The device cannot auto power off.
    • If the device still displays speed after the vehicle turns off, adjust the 'Speed Offset' value to match the device's displayed speed (e.g., if it shows 5 KM/H, set offset to 5).
    • If the device still displays RPM after the vehicle turns off, switch to 'Sleep voltage' in settings and set the value to 13.2V or higher.
  8. Auto start and stop cars.
    • For cars with auto start/stop functionality, change the 'Power off time' setting to 180-240 seconds.
  9. Wrong operation leads to crashes.
    • Perform a factory reset in the settings menu.
  10. Why does the car dashboard fault code light up?
    • Universal OBD devices support multiple communication modes, but each car typically uses only one protocol. If the device pulls up unneeded pins, it can trigger a fault code. When the vehicle turns on, unplug the OBD cable and re-plug it. The device will then display the correct protocol.

7.2. OBD Communication Protocols

The P10 Pro supports various OBD communication protocols. If you encounter issues, ensure the correct pins are maintained for your vehicle's protocol:

  • ISO15765 CAN Bus: Keep pins 4/5/6/14/16. Pull up other pins.
  • ISO14230 KWP2000: Keep pins 4/5/7/16. Pull up other pins.
  • ISO 9141-2: Keep pins 4/5/7/15/16. Pull up other pins.
