5. Pamasangan & Wiring

The BM730-10A requires careful wiring. There are two main wiring methods: Independent Power Supply and Common Power Supply.

5.1 Kawat Harti

  • XH-2.54-3P (Thin Wires - Red, Black, Yellow):
    • Thin Red Wire: Positive pole of the working power supply (DC7-30V). Do not connect to a power supply above 30V.
    • Thin Black Wire: Negative pole of the working power supply. If sharing power with the test circuit, this wire does not need to be connected to the thick black wire.
    • Thin Yellow Wire: Voltage test wire. Connect to the positive pole of the circuit being measured.
  • VH-3.96-2P (Thick Wires - Red, Black): Current test wires.
    • Thick Red Wire: Positive pole of the current test. Connect in series at the back end of the negative pole of the load. When connecting, connect this first, then disconnect last.
    • Thick Black Wire: Negative pole for current testing. Connect to the negative pole of the power supply. When connecting, connect this first, then disconnect last.

IMPORTANT: The thick wires are for current measurement via a parallel shunt resistor. Do NOT connect them directly across the two poles of a power supply, as this will cause a short-circuit and damage the meter.

5.2 Independent Power Supply Wiring

This method uses a separate power source (DC7-30V) for the meter, independent of the circuit being measured.

5.3 Common Power Supply Wiring

This method uses the same power source for both the meter and the circuit being measured.

6. Operasi

6.1 Pangukuran Dasar

Once correctly wired and powered, the meter will automatically display the measured DC voltage, current, and calculated power on its digital screen.

6.2 Screen On/Off Function

The meter supports a screen on/off function. This feature only controls the digital display and does not affect the circuit's operation or measurement process. To toggle the screen, briefly press the 'M' button. The display will turn off or on accordingly.

6.3 Alarm Settings (Overvoltage & Overcurrent)

The BM730-10A features audible alarms for high voltage, vol handaptage, and overcurrent conditions. To set these alarm thresholds:

  1. Enter Settings Mode: Long press the 'M' button until the display changes to show alarm setting options (e.g., 'HV' for High Voltage, 'LV' for Low Voltage, 'OC' for Overcurrent).

6.4 Calibration (Voltage/Current Fine-tuning)

The meter allows for fine adjustment of voltage and current display values to ensure accuracy.
