5. Setélan

6.3 Pangukuran Arus AC/DC

IMPORTANT: Current measurements MUST be performed in series with the circuit. NEVER connect the multimeter in parallel with a voltage source when measuring current, as this will cause a short circuit and damage the instrument.

  1. Turn the rotary switch to the appropriate AC Current (A~) or DC Current (A-) range.
  2. Crucially, move the red test lead to the 20A or mA input jack, depending on the expected current. The black lead remains in the COM jack.
  3. Break the circuit and connect the multimeter in series with the load.

6.6 Diode and Continuity Test (Buzzer)

  1. Turn the rotary switch to the Diode/Continuity ( ▶| / Ω ) rentang.
  2. Insert the test leads into the appropriate input jacks (red to VΩ, black to COM).
  3. For diode test, place probes across the diode. For continuity, place probes across the circuit. A beep indicates continuity.

6.7 Transistor (hFE) Measurement

  2. Identify the type of transistor (NPN or PNP) and its leads (Emitter, Base, Collector).
  3. Insert the transistor leads into the corresponding holes in the triode socket on the multimeter.
  4. The display will show the hFE value.
