Product Usage Instructions
Setup
- Connecting via 2.4 GHz Wireless:
- Connect the USB-C Wireless Dongle to an available USB port on your device.
- Toggle the Wireless Mode Switch to the 2.4 GHz position.
- The Keyboard and USB-C Wireless Dongle will automatically pair.
- To further customize your Keyboard or re-pair a Wireless Dongle, download the SteelSeries Engine software from steelseries.com/engine.
- Basic Pairing via Bluetooth:
- Initiate Bluetooth pairing mode on your Bluetooth 5.0 or higher enabled device.
- Toggle the Wireless Mode Switch to the Bluetooth position to turn on your Keyboard.
- The Keyboard lighting will start blinking blue when searching for a connection.
- Select “Apex Pro TKL Gen 3 WL” on your Bluetooth-enabled device.
Functions
Profile Switching
Press the SteelSeries Function Key + Profile Switching Key repeatedly to cycle through the profiles.
On-the-Fly Macro Recording
- Press and hold the SteelSeries Function Key + On-the-Fly Macro Recording Key for 3 seconds to start recording.
- Type your desired key combinations.
- Press the SteelSeries Function Key + On-the-Fly Macro Recording Key to end Macro Recording.
- Select a key to which you would like to bind the recorded macro.
Illumination Brightness Control
Press the SteelSeries Function Key + Illumination Brightness Key Down to reduce Illumination Brightness. Press the SteelSeries Function Key + Illumination Brightness Key Up to increase Illumination Brightness.
Advanced Pairing via Bluetooth
The Keyboard can pair with and store three Bluetooth device profiles. To initiate pairing mode, press SteelSeries Function Key + Enter + 1, 2, or 3. The chosen device key will pulse blue until successfully paired with a Bluetooth device.
Bluetooth Device Switching
To cycle through the three paired devices, press the SteelSeries Function Key + Enter + 1, 2, or 3. Your keyboard will then automatically connect to the previously paired device.

SETUP
CONNECTING VIA 2.4 GHZ WIRELESS
- Connect the USB-C Wireless Dongle (14) to an available USB port on your device.
- Toggle the Wireless Mode Switch (2) to the “2.4 GHz” position.
- The Keyboard and USB-C Wireless Dongle (14) will automatically pair.
- To further customize your Keyboard, or re-pair a Wireless Dongle, download the SteelSeries Engine software from steelseries.com/engine
BASIC PAIRING VIA BLUETOOTH
- Initiate Bluetooth pairing mode on your Bluetooth 5.0 or higher enabled device.
- Toggle the Wireless Mode Switch (2) to the Bluetooth position to turn on your Keyboard.

FUNCTIONS
PROFILE SWITCHING
Press the SteelSeries Function Key (11) + Profile Switching Key (3) repeatedly to cycle through the profiles.

- Press and hold the SteelSeries Function Key (11) + On-the-Fly Macro Recording Key (4) for 3 seconds to start recording.
- Type your desired key combinations.
- Press the SteelSeries Function Key (11) + On-the-Fly Macro Recording Key (4) to end Macro Recording.
- Lastly, select a key to which you would like to bind the recorded macro.
ILLUMINATION BRIGHTNESS CONTROL
- Press the SteelSeries Function Key (11) + Illumination Brightness Key Down (5) to reduce Illumination Brightness.
- Press the SteelSeries Function Key (11) + Illumination Brightness Key Up (6) to increase Illumination Brightness.
ADVANCED PAIRING VIA BLUETOOTH
- The Keyboard can pair with and store three Bluetooth device profiles (defined using the 1, 2, or 3 keys).
- To initiate pairing mode, press SteelSeries Function Key (11) + Enter + 1, 2, or 3.
- The chosen device key will pulse blue until successfully paired with a Bluetooth device. If no device is found, Bluetooth pairing will time out.
BLUETOOTH DEVICE SWITCHING
- To cycle through the three paired devices, press the SteelSeries Function Key (11) + Enter + 1, 2, or 3. Your keyboard will then automatically connect to the previously paired device.
- To remove an existing paired device, press and hold the SteelSeries Function Key (11) + Enter + 1, 2, or 3 for three seconds. The keyboard lights will flash to indicate the paired device has been removed.

BATTERY INDICATOR
LOW BATTERY INDICATOR
When battery is below 5%, the keyboard will pulse red.
CHARGING INDICATOR
- When plugged in, the ESC key will flash green and the number row will light up to indicate battery level for 5 seconds.
- When fully charged, the ESC key will turn solid green.
SWAPPABLE KEYCAPS
Each Keycap on the Apex Pro TKL Wireless can be removed and replaced. Use the Keycap Puller (16) located on the bottom of your Keyboard to easily pull off each Keycap. Replacement and additional designer Keycap Sets are available for purchase on steelseries.com.
ACTUATION ADJUSTMENT
Access the Actuation menu on the OLED or use the hotkeys below to adjust actuation levels on-the-fly.
OMNIPOINT ADJUSTABLE ACTUATION
- SteelSeries Function Key (11) + “I” lifts the actuation point (deeper keypress).
- SteelSeries Function Key (11) + “O” lowers the actuation point (lighter keypress).
- Use Engine inside SteelSeries GG to configure the adjustable actuation on a per-key basis.
RAPID TRIGGER
- SteelSeries Function Key (11) + “T” toggles Rapid Trigger on or off.
- Alternatively, click the SteelSeries Function Key (11) while in the OLED Actuation menu to toggle Rapid Trigger on or off. When enabled, a lightning bolt will appear on the OLED display.
- Use Engine inside SteelSeries GG to configure
- Rapid Trigger on a per-key basis.

Charge Care:
