Cautions
The Table Microphone is designed to comply with Standards of International Electromagnetic Compatibility. However, it is still possible that you may experience interference caused by power line disturbances, airport metal detectors, electromagnetic fields from other medical devices, radio signals, and electrostatic discharges. The Table Microphone is designed to be cleaned with a damp cloth moistened with soapy water. If you use medical devices or wear implantable medical devices such as defibrillators or pacemakers and are concerned that your Table Microphone might cause interference with your medical device, please contact your physician or the manufacturer of your medical device for information about the risk of disturbance. The Table Microphone should not be used during an MRI procedure or in a hyperbaric chamber. The Table Microphone is not formally certified to operate in explosive atmospheres such as may be found in coal mines or certain chemical factories.
Use on Aircrafts
The Table Microphone should not be used on aircraft unless specifically permitted by the flight personnel.
International Use
The Table Microphone is approved to operate at radio frequencies that are specific to your country or region and might not be approved for use outside your country or region. Be aware that operation during international travel may cause interference with other electronic devices, or other electronic devices may cause interference with your Table Microphone.
Your Table Microphone is designed to operate, be stored, and be transported within the temperature range of 0 to 40 degrees C and relative humidity range of 10%-95%, and altitude limits 70 kPa – 106 kPa (equivalent to altitudes from 1,200 ft (380 m) below sea level to 10,000 ft (3,000 m) We are required by regulations to provide the following warnings:
WARNING: Use of the Table Microphone directly next to other electronic equipment should be avoided because it could result in improper performance. If such use is necessary, note as to whether your hearing aids and the other equipment are operating normally.
WARNING: Use of accessories, components or replacement parts other than those provided by the manufacturer of the Table Microphone could result in increased electromagnetic emissions and decreased electromagnetic immunity and could result in degradation of performance.
WARNING: If Portable Radio Frequency communications equipment is used closer than 30cm (12”) from your Table Microphone, degradation of the performance of your hearing aid could result. If this occurs, move away from the communications equipment.
Although the Table Microphone is not formally certified (IP rated) for protection against dust or water ingress, per IEC 60529, it has been tested to the IP 52 level. This means that the Table Microphone is protected from dust. The battery in your Table Microphone is not replaceable. Do not attempt to replace the battery. The Table Microphone does not contain any user-serviceable parts. Do not open or modify it. Do not connect the Table Microphone to any devices not described in this manual. The expected service life of the Table Microphone is 3 years.
- This product shall not be connected to a power supply source exceeding 15W.
- Battery cannot be subjected to high or low extreme temperatures, low air pressure at high altitude during use, storage, or transportation.
- Replacement of a battery with an incorrect type that can result in a fire, explosive hazard, or the leakage of flammable liquid or gas.

Instructions for Disposal of Old Electronics
Starkey Laboratories, Inc. encourages, the EU requires, and your local community laws may require, that your Table Microphone be disposed of via your local electronics recycling/disposal process. The below instructions are provided for the benefit of disposal/recycling personnel. Please include this manual when disposing of your Table Microphone.
FOR DISPOSAL/RECYCLING PERSONNEL ONLY
This product contains a Lithium-Ion Polymer battery.
To remove this battery:
- Power off the Table Microphone.
- Pry apart the housing halves with a small screwdriver.
- Cut the battery wires from the circuit board to prevent accidental shorting.
- Pry the battery away from the housing using a wide, flat blade.
Such modifications could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment.

Meet your Table Mic
Overview
- USB-C jack
- Rechargeable via USB-to-USB-C cable.
- Directional touch keys
Manual selection of a single or multiple directions. - Segments

- Automatic mode button One tap will reset the device to an automatic mode. Five segments will illuminate with one brighter than the other. The microphones will detect speech and indicate its direction with the brighter LED.

Set up your Table Mic
Power ON/OFF
Use the power button to turn your Table Mic ON or OFF:
- ON – Press the power button for 3 seconds and release. The green segments will light one by one to indicate the battery charge level.
- NOTE: If the Table Mic needs to be charged, see Charge your Table Mic on p. 20.
- The center circle LED will illuminate as well as one segment on either side as the table mic connects to your hearing aids. This may take approximately 5 seconds.
- OFF – press the power button for 3 seconds and release. Segments will light up green and turn off one by one while device powers down.
To pair with hearing aids: Before using your Table Mic for the first time, you’ll need to pair it with your hearing aid(s). This allows your accessory to recognize your hearing aids so they can work together.
STEP 1: Turn ON your Table Mic
STEP 2: Turn your hearing aids OFF and ON.
- If your hearing aid is rechargeable, place it in the charger for 3 seconds and remove. If your hearing aid has a battery, open and close the battery door.
- For CROS hearing aid systems: Turn OFF your hearing aid and CROS transmitter. Next, turn ON your hearing aid but leave the CROS transmitter OFF.
STEP 3: Pair your Table Mic with your hearing aid(s)
- Ensure your hearing aids are not connected to nearby Bluetooth® devices:
- Turn OFF Bluetooth on your mobile phone.
- Turn OFF any wireless accessories already paired to your hearing aids.
- Place your hearing aids within 6 inches (15 cm) of your Table Mic.
- Press the hearing aid pairing button for 2 seconds and place the Table Mic face up on a stable surface with the power button and volume buttons facing you. The blinking blue brackets indicate that Bluetooth is ready to pair.
- For a set of hearing aids: the volume and on/off button should be facing you

Use your Table Mic
Your Table Mic is an assistive listening device. It streams audio directly to your wireless hearing aids.
Key use modes
- Table Microphone: streaming voices from around the table. It can automatically detect the direction of the voice or can be manually set in a specific direction. To manually select microphone direction, touch a segment to illuminate the LED. Tap the middle circle to return the device to automatic.
- Remote microphone: streaming the voice of the person wearing the Table Mic. For details, see How to Wear Your Table Mic on p. 19.
To use your Table Mic:
STEP 1
Check that your hearing aids are ON. Reminder – Before streaming audio for the first time, ensure your hearing aids are paired to your Table Mic. See p. 10.
NOTE: Typical wireless operating range is up to 50 feet (15m). This may be shortened by environmental factors (e.g., obstructions, interference, position of people). Wider operating ranges may be possible, however, your audio or connection quality may decrease.
STEP 2: Start/stop streaming audio.
- Turn On the Table Mic:
- Audio streaming automatically starts in the hearing aid.
Turn Off the Table Mic:
Audio streaming automatically stops in the hearing aid.
STEP 3: Adjust the streaming volume. Do one of the following:
- Press the Volume up (+) or down (-) button on the Table Mic.
- Move the volume slider on the Accessories screen of your compatible mobile app.
- Press (or tap) your hearing aid user controls.
STEP 4: Phone or media stream interruption:
- If you receive a phone call or start a stream from your phone, your table microphone stream will be interrupted.
- The center circle LED will illuminate as well as one segment on either side during the interruption.
- When the phone call or media stream ends, the table microphone stream will restart. The LEDs will return to their previous state.

Place your Table Mic in the middle of a table to listen to a group of people. For best speech understanding, always bring your Table Mic as close to the conversation partner(s) as possible.
Wearing the Table Mic
Your Table Mic can be worn on a lanyard, using the hanger provided, by the person speaking. It’s best to place it within 8 inches (20 cm) of the speaker’s mouth.
Lanyard instructions
- Attach the magnetic hanger to the back of the Table Mic. Make sure the hanger is attached and secure.
- Place lanyard around the neck. To adjust the length, hold the cylinder and pull the closure.
- When the Table Mic is worn by the speaker, the top indicator will light up for 3 seconds.

Conversation Streaming Modes
The Table Mic is a versatile, intelligent product. It follows the main speaker in quiet or noisy settings automatically to provide you the best speech understanding possible. The Table Mic allows you to override the automatic mode and manually any or all of the 8 segments. The Surround mode is optimized for a large group discussion in quiet settings. In addition, the Table Mic can be worn by a distant speaker in noisy settings.
Charge your Table Mic
To charge your Table Mic
- Attach the USB-C end of the charging cable to the USB-C jack on your Table Mic.
- Attach the USB end of the charging cable to the jack on the power adapter.
- Plug the power adapter into an external power source, like a wall outlet.
- Check the charging status using the segments on your Table Mic. See next page.
A full charge powers the Table Mic for up to 10 hours of streaming. Your Table Mic will fully charge in about 2 hours.
