Wiring Instructions
M Series Coaxial Wiring
This section details the wiring for coaxial speaker setups. The diagram illustrates connections between the audio source (input), crossover, woofer, and tweeter.
- Input: Connects to the audio source (e.g., amplifier or head unit).
- Crossover: Splits the audio signal for the woofer and tweeter. It has input terminals and output terminals for both components.
- Woofer: Connects to the crossover's woofer output terminals (typically labeled WF+ and WF-).
- Tweeter: Connects to the crossover's tweeter output terminals (typically labeled TW+ and TW-).
- TW Jumper: Indicates settings for the tweeter output on the crossover.
M Series Component Wiring
This section details the wiring for component speaker setups, where the woofer and tweeter are separate units.
- Woofer: Connects to the crossover's woofer output terminals (WF+ and WF-).
- Tweeter: Connects to the crossover's tweeter output terminals (TW+ and TW-).
- Crossover: Receives the input signal and directs appropriate frequencies to the woofer and tweeter.
- Wiring: Diagrams show the flow from input to crossover, and then to the individual woofer and tweeter components.
Convertible Speaker Instructions
The M Series speakers are convertible, meaning their configuration can be adapted. Convertible parts, such as the MSCKIT, are sold separately.
Tweeter Removal
The tweeter assembly can be removed from the main speaker body. This process typically involves releasing clips or unscrewing the tweeter module.
Phase Plug Installation
The phase plug, located at the center of the woofer, can be replaced. This is part of the convertible functionality, allowing for different speaker configurations.
Tweeter Mounting Instructions
Instructions are provided for mounting the M Series tweeters in various configurations.
Tweeter Removal
The tweeter is shown being disassembled from its housing for mounting purposes.
Mounting Options
- Angled Mounting: The tweeter is mounted using an angled base, which is then attached to a panel. This allows for directing sound.
- Flush Mounting: The tweeter is installed so that its front surface is level with the mounting panel. This often involves a retaining ring for secure fitting.
- Surface Mounting: The tweeter is mounted directly onto the surface of a panel using a flat base.
Crossover Mounting
Instructions for mounting the crossover unit using the M-Clip system.
- Screw the M-CLIP [fastener] into the L-bracket.
- Slide the crossover unit onto the M-CLIP.
- Screw the L-bracket (with the attached M-CLIP and crossover) into the designated mounting holes on the back of the woofer magnet.
- The crossover can be easily removed from the M-CLIP by sliding it upwards away from the magnet.
