- This appliance is not intended to dry clothes or other items.
- Any use of the appliance other than described in this manual is regarded as misuse and may cause injury, damage to the appliance and void the warranty.

General safety instructions
- Ensure you have fully read and understood the instructions in this document before you install or use the appliance. Keep this document for future reference.
- Do not use the appliance if a part is damaged or defective. Have a defective appliance checked immediately by Solis or a Solis-authorized service center.
- If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by Solis or a Solis authorized service center with an identical power cord with the same technical specifications to avoid any hazard.
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazard involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
- Children must be supervised to ensure that they not play with the appliance.
Safety instructions regarding installation
WARNING
- Do not drop the appliance and avoid bumping.
- Always place the appliance on a stable, flat, and heat-resistant surface.
- Do not place the appliance in direct sunlight.
- Before using the appliance, check that the voltage stated on the type plate of your appliance matches your mains voltage. Do not operate the appliance with a multiway plug adapter.
- Never use the appliance with an external timer switch or remote control.
- Do not leave the power cable hanging over table edges to prevent the appliance from being pulled down. Make sure that neither the appliance nor the power cord or plug comes into contact with hot surfaces, such as hotplates or a radiator, or that they come into contact with the appliance itself.
- Never place the appliance in such a way that it is at risk of falling into water or coming into contact with water resp. other liquids (e.g. in or near a sink).
- Never reach for an appliance that has fallen into water or other liquids:
- Always wear dry rubber gloves to unplug the appliance before taking it out of the water.
- Do not start using the appliance again before having it checked for functionality and safety by Solis or a service center authorized by Solis.
- Fully unwind the power cable before use.
Safety instructions regarding use
WARNING
- Children must be supervised to ensure that they not play with the appliance.
- Do not operate the appliance with wet hands.
- Only use the appliance with the provided accessories or accessories recommended by Solis. Incorrect accessories or misuse can lead to damage to the appliance.
- Unplug the appliance when it is not in use or unattended.
- Never leave the heating plates on one section of hair for more than a few seconds.
- Risk of burns or damage to the appliance! The heating plates get hot during normal operation:
- Never touch the heating plates.
- Never place the appliance on any surface when the appliance is switched on. The heating plates may cause heat damage or ignite flammable materials.
- Caution! Never use the appliance near a bathtub, shower, or other reservoirs filled with water or other liquids (see image A).

- Disconnect the appliance from the power source after use when the appliance is used in a bathroom. The proximity of water presents a hazard even when the appliance is switched off.
Safety instructions regarding maintenance
WARNING
- Unplug the appliance before service and when replacing parts.
- Let the appliance cool down before cleaning.
- Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids, or place it in a dishwasher.
- Do not use abrasive chemical cleaning agents such as ammonia, acid or acetone when cleaning the appliance. This can damage the appliance.
- Never wrap the power cord tightly around the appliance to avoid damage to the power cord.

This appliance is a hair straightener that is used to style and straighten hair. With the adjustable temperature settings, the hair straightener is suitable for all hair types.

BEFORE FIRST USE
To prepare the appliance before first use:
- Remove all packaging, stickers and labels.
INSTALLATION
To install the appliance:
- Plug the power cable 8 into a power outlet.
The appliance is now ready for use.
- Make sure your hair is clean, dry, and detangled.
- Place the appliance on a stable, flat, and heat-resistant surface.
- Use the lock button 7 to unlock the heating plates 1.
- Press the power button 6 to switch on the appliance.
- Note: The default temperature is 230 °C.
- Note: The temperature can be adjusted from 150 °C to 230 °C in steps of 20 °C.
- Note: The automatic lock is activated 4 seconds after setting the temperature and can be deactivated by pressing the decrease temperature button 5 twice.
- Note: Use low heat for fine, medium, or soft-wavy hair and high heat for coarse, curly, or hard-to-straighten hair.
- Note: Use low heat for bleached, blonde, or colour-treated hair.Press the temperature buttons 4 / 5 to cycle through the five temperature settings. The display 3 shows the selected temperature in degrees Celsius.
- The display 3 blinks until the heating plates 1 have reached the selected temperature.
- Section your hair with a comb or brush.
- Place a small section of hair between the heating plates 1.
- Close the heating plates 1 and slide the heating plates 1 from the roots to the tips.
- Note: Rotate the appliance inwards to curl the hair tips inwards.
- Note: Rotate the appliance outwards to curl the hair tips outwards.
- Open the heating plates 1 to release the hair.
- Allow the styled/straightened hair to cool down before touching or combing.
- Repeat until the desired hair style is achieved.
CLEANING AND CARE
We recommend cleaning the appliance regularly. To clean the appliance:
- Switch off and unplug the appliance.
- Let the appliance cool down.
- Clean the heating plates 1 with a slightly damp cloth.
- Dry the heating plates 1 thoroughly with a soft, dry cloth.
- Dry the appliance with a soft, dry cloth.
STORAGE
- Switch off and unplug the appliance.
- Let the appliance cool down.
- Use the lock button 7 to lock the heating plates 1.
- Never wrap the power cord tightly around the appliance to avoid damage to the power cord.
- Store the appliance in the original packaging in a dry and enclosed space.
This marking indicates that this product should not be disposed with other household wastes throughout the EU. To prevent possible harm to the environment or human health from uncontrolled waste disposal, recycle it responsibly to promote the sustainable reuse of material resources. To return your used device, please use the return and collection systems or contact the retailer where the product was purchased. They can take this product for environmental safe recycling.

Note: Only valid with a till receipt. We provide a guarantee for this appliance, if the defect has demonstrably arisen as a result of faults in the material or construction, and has arisen despite proper handling and care.
